  1. Generally, the reason for holding back a headliner announcement is because they have a tour themselves that they would like to sell tickets for first OR you simply don't have one because they pulled out and now your'e scrambling. If it was any headliner at another festival it makes absolutely no sense not to announce. If someone has pulled out id be amazed as Victorious is well organised and no one has pulled out of any other festivals. This only really leaves the first option - someone / a band on tour that has tickets to sell for their own gigs first. All of the above makes me believe it could be "The Who". Some people might think they'd be too big for Victorious, I'm not so sure. Almost every other name thrown into the ring has been announced elsewhere already.
  2. I always worry when i see anyone waiting for a band like GnR who historically change things and are unreliable. Basically an unreliable festival waiting on an unreliable band Bodes well.
  3. I’m not a JK fan but my mate saw them last year in Spain and said they were a huge surprise - although in fairness - it’s not the strokes is it shame they are exclusive as I hoped they’d be at victorious as soon as I saw the poster
  4. Or you could shorten that by simply saying, In Mike, the band have "faith, no more"
  5. I mentioned this a few pages back, its very unlikely that any festival will be taking a gamble on RATM for next year. So rule them in for 2024.
  6. Actually i have been in contact with MadCool and they have just this second sent me a message saying that as it stands the information on location is......... "neither updated nor confirmed, keep an eye on our social media" I mean the new area is supposed to be a whole new part of the city dedicated to music with recording studios and festival site. Now, I've been to Spain and, a bit like the UK they don't do anything quickly. Is the build already happening? Because 7 months goes by really really quickly!
  7. Yeah i had seen that already, however why have the old site on their website on the "how to get here" page They are bloody useless
  8. I know this has been asked a million times but does anyone have DEFINITIVE info on where the festival is next year? On the 2023 mad cool website on the "How to get there link" it has the below which is 100% where the festival was last year. Jokers
  9. Yeah i'd agree but to me that makes it all the more appealing rather than fighting a load of under 20's to get into a field to watch a half decent act LOL
  10. After seeing both live - Sigrid is a massive step UP from Ann Marie - anyone who sees here will be impressed
  11. In 2018 didnt they start off with other bands on the top line and as other acts got announced they moved down? I'm sure they did As opposed to recent years with all the pull outs, bands got promoted LOL
  12. Im seriously hoping that with the 4 headliners on the first night i can watch Lizzo and then go and chill out on the 3rd stage finishing with Sigur ros 🙂
  13. I also went to Mad Cool 2018 - Great line up. Its a different line up but ill be honest id rather see Lizzo (who i've never seen before) than Arctic Monkeys who were boring. I don't like Sam Smith so wont watch Them. Robbie sold Knebworth three times over and has sold out the biggest venues in the world so..............although not my cup of tea, its tough to say hes a "small" or "bad" headliner.
  14. You say "weak" but there are literally 15 Headliners at Reading and Leeds across that poster. I think we need to accept that acts that wouldn't have appeared to be headliners at festivals a year or two ago...now will be. From the pool available ( and who Didn't play last year) there are only a few omissions i can think of). Its a strong line up from top to bottom in my book. The first day headliners are not my cup of tea but if i learned anything from mad cool this year ..................the other stages are superb. Its all on the new venue now
  15. My thoughts are .............. Are Mad cool Rock Werchter and others awaiting news form the RATM camp? Leave a headline slot open? Then if they cancel - have something in reserve?
  16. RHCP will be at this fest i mean yesterdays clue pretty much confirmed that. Its more the undercard I'm interested in, the headliners for this must have all been pretty much guessed over the last few pages. I'd live to see Fontaines DC, Wet Leg, Idles that would a decent start
  17. From statements on Instagram it appears to me that Chemical Brothers will be there - if they are - surely they would be one of the 3 headliners on any given day?
  18. The last one looks like RHCP as the planet from the front of stadium arcadium
  19. Oh God! Oh well - there will be other acts on
  20. I’d agree with this - I’m not sure how or why the chemical brothers are being considered for that clue?
  21. I thought Bjork was all but confirmed for the second clue and personally I was sure one of them was arcade fire i read that chemical brothers were all but confirmed for this fest too
  22. The guns n roses link is even stronger but can’t see it being them either
  23. Room on fire by the stokes makes more sense but it won’t be them either
