It's a sign!

We all see many signs and omens throughout our days that in some cases can offer tell tale clues for the future. As going to Festivals are quite a big event in our callendars I thought I'd make this thread to try and interpret them.

If you see an omen, post about it on here. If you want to give your own interpretation, or feel free to leave it to me .

Together we can shed some light on what awaits us this summer.

Okay, first omen:

Looking out the window I see that in the car park the card reader by the barrier has blown over. The barrier has two red roadwork style temperary barriers in front of it (kinda a bit like hurdles), these had blown over earlier but look like they have been picked up. The wind appears to have since dropped.

I interpret this omen to mean that there will be one food van in particular that causes quite a stur amung a group. I can't tell what kind of food, perhaps Chinese, Mexican, Doughnuts, fruit, could be anything. Anyhow several campmates will go and sample the food product in question and find it delicious then tell their other campmate(s).

The others will later go along to get some themselves only to find that they have ran out of the dish they most desire. However they are able to purchase an alternative that is almost as nice. Later on in the Festival they return, they can't get the very best dish but are able to get another dish of the same sort that is almost as good.

Edit: Omen 2:

There is a girl who keeps singing in the computer room (it's mostly empty as it's the holiday). No idea what she's singing (or even why) but she has quite a nice voice and it's actually not irritating.

This Omen suggests that there will be at least one singer/act who is pretty much unknown atm but will turn out to be a hidden gem.

I woke up this morning with a banging headache almost a hangover, but i didn't even sample any booze last night. What's that all about? I think it may mean my tent will be attacked on the Saturday by wolves looking for m and m's.

I see an angry man rapidly approaching my desk with a piece of paper in his hand, i take this to mean:

a] The stage times for all my favourite bands will clash, prompting me to fly into a massive huff and hurl my nicely laminated clashfinder in disgust into the nearest bomb site porta bog.

or

b] I'm about to get bollocked by my boss for not completeing that quote by end of play today because i'm on here.

Only time will tell

I'm currently playing Good Riddance by Green Day so either I will be glad to leave or we will have The Time of Your Life... juries out but my iPod is hardly The Oracle.

Also just been told my Trini Lopez guitar has been dispatched so there will be a massive rock band there - Noel Gallagher plays a Trini Lopez sometimes so he will probably be great - or the best known Trini Lopez player - Dave Grohl will appear! Again could be a false omen.

Yep, that sounds about right. However one piece is missing, the hangover was actually caused by members of the Wolves football team who poured vodka into your mouth with a funnel while you slept. This strongly suggests that there is an aliance between the Wolves football team and actual wolves (who will attack your tent). Perhaps they are in fact both one and the same (warewolf football team?).

Do not fear, Festival goers because Warewolves can be killed with silver .

Hmmm, I woke up this morning at about 3:45am, coughing manically - like, couldn't breathe manic. Got some water, remembered how to breathe and was all fine and dandy. When I actually wake up this morning, all I can manage is to eat some jelly ('cos my throat hurts that much..) and now I feel like I'm dying.

Why? I didn't have a cough when I went to bed, and I don't now, but my throat hurts like hell, and it hurts to swallow anything. Admittedly, the Doctor thinks I've got glandular fever, but I've not felt this rough since New Years Day! Eurgh.

I had a dream last night ithat i was being chased by a large (around 8 foot) domestic cat. it had a huge bell around its neck that was ringing loudly and was pawing at me like i was a ball of string.

when i woke up i realised i was still wearing a bangle with bells on it... whatever can this mean? ;-)

It sounds like perhaps your biggest fear is a part of yourself. Hmmm *thinks*.

It suggests that you will get lost somehow on your way to the festival (or while finding your way around). But do not fear for you can easily find your way if you stay calm .
