Supernormal 2016

Recommended Posts

Yup, this will be our 5th year and I wouldn't miss it for anything as it's by far my favourite. I love Supernormal - we try to get to at least 2 or 3 new festivals each year so we've done loads of different ones over the last 15 years or so, but Supernormal is the one festival that's always a definite because I've never found anything to touch it. It's consistently one of my favourite weekends of the year.

It's a cracking line-up this year too, certainly one of the best they've put on.

Hope you had a good one! I think I enjoyed this year even more than last year, if that's possible :D

I too think I've got a regular festival nailed on with this one: amazing setting, lovely friendly feel, great atmosphere, never any long queues, lovely toilets (!) and some great music. Perfect.

Certainly did have a good one, my favourite Supernormal ever, and I think most of the people I know who went have been saying the same thing. I've also got a new favourite act after seeing them at Supernormal, Giant Swan, who absolutely blew me away. Having said that there was so much great music there this year it's hard to pick out favourites.

Without a doubt it's my favourite festival I've ever been too. Even the little niggles that people had a few years back, like the lack of food options, have been addressed and the food there is absolutely gorgeous now (the pad thai place and Taste of Tibet were both brilliant). More than anything it's the people that go, fantastic atmosphere and the fact everyone you speak to is just lovely. It was ace to see it sell out in advance too, especially given it was in serious problems a few years back and touch and go as to if it would survive.

Anyway let's keep quiet about it now - we don't want too many people to find out about it so we struggle for tickets next year! Roll on next August.

    • The first half of that game was cracking but then I fell asleep at half time. Maybe that's just the momentum of things.

    • A win is a win but it was a very poor game with only 4 shots on target in the whole game. Scotland obviously handed a massive bonus with Brazil and Morocco drawing but I don't think either of them will be too worried.
