May I ask what your plans are for your husband and children...? If you are not feeling well, will they be able to toddle off and enjoy themselves, after leaving you with the nessecary supplies of food and drink? Or, will they feel the need to stay and look after you?

I have used PA scheme for around 4 years now, i have rheumatoid arthritis and struggle to walk far. Last year was the first time I had used Spring Ground. It made things so much easier.

i have always had to pick my PA ticket and access up from the disabled car park. 

You have to apply for camping in advance, when you send the paperwork off. They will let the disabled person plus their PA on the shuttle bus. Last year the queue was pretty hard going, it took us nearly 2 hours to get it. In the end they moved everyone on, so it was just the disabled person plus their PA in the queue and things then started moving quicker. Our group got to Spring ground (your allowed 4 people to camp with you) and gave our names over at the field and were given a wristband once at Spring grounds.

the stewards at Spring grounds are AMAZING! So helpful. I couldn't recommend it enough.

i just hope we don't have to queue for as long this time.

thw shuttle bus runs every 2 hours from stops - but this doesn't start until the Friday. It's used just to and from the car park Wednesday and Thursday.

One thing to remember if you are taking a PA - make sure they have photo ID with them. I only just found this out and my PA has neither passport or driving licence so she is applying for a citizencard (at 43!). Costs £15 but takes 2-3 weeks, and I dread to think what would happen if we turned up there without it.

Rather cough up £15 than risk it!
