Good thread - most if the above - but i stick to the "we go for the music" response.

Everthing else, is secondary.Or " do you think i go for the toilets?"

If theres something you love - dont you put up with any old shit for it?

Ive had a few who think only one band play at a time - IE its just the pyramid stage and we are all there at the same time - this is hilarious to me.

1) They usually make some comment about all the mud

2) followed by some sort of comment about the headliners and whatever the press have been saying about them

3) They very quickly get bored as I proceed to spend the next 30 minutes ranting on about how great the festival is and how it's not always muddy and it's not all about the headliners

Unless it's my father in law, in which case 1 & 2 followed by me spending the next 30 minutes trying to figure out how to stop him going on about how he was there in '71

If they are someone I think should go, and would appreciate it , I will spend as long as is necessary trying to talk them into it.

I would go out of my way to help, as others have helped me ( C & E i'm forever in you debt!) Otherwise I will simply reply " yes, your probably right."

I watched the DVD last night with the interviews with the festival goers, Tattoo Man sums it up completely, No judging, you, no pidgeon holing people, acceptance and a great vibe of people that are there. It's a shame that some people dont get it and worse, try to put a negative spin on it.

Thank you for posting your replies, it's this forum and support for the festival goers that make me smile
