HINT – Live set – Tru Thoughts / Mixed Bizness

http://mixedbizness.co.uk/hint/

Starting his career with releases on dusty beats labels Deep Water and Hombre, Hint’s own brand of rural beat was introduced to an unsuspecting public in 2002. Ninja Tune’s ears soon pricked and they hunted him down before signing him for an album deal. This resulted in his debut album, “Portakabin Fever”, which took Hint across the world and back touring. A certain John Peel also rather liked the breezy instrumental sound of Leicester and personally invited Hint to do a Peel Session for his BBC Radio One show in May 2002.

After a brief break in releases, Hint decided to pursue a more club-friendly direction. His debut for Tru Thoughts, “The Tremmuh”, was picked by Benji B as one of his favourite tracks of the year in 2006, and Mr Scruff declared it ”forward thinking awkward dance music, brimming with genius”. Subsequent EPs for the Brighton beats label confirm Hint as one of the men of the moment in electronic music, with support coming from all corners – ranging from club DJs like Toddla T, J Da Flex, DJ Food, Zinc and BenUFO to the likes of BBC Radio 1′s Giles Peterson and Rob Da Bank.

Hint’s debut album on Tru Thoughts, ”Driven From Distraction”, caused quite a stir on it’s release, making everyone stand up and take notice. Featuring collaborations with Tru Thoughts regulars Kinny, Laura Vane, Rizzle and Rup, it is a melting pot of contemporary sounds and sensibilities and the most sonically adventurous release on Tru Thoughts yet. Recent remixes of Lopez, Dekata Project, Flevans and Belleruche as well as the fantastic ‘C’Mon Step’ and ‘School Bell’ EPs for Tru Thoughts have solidified his reputation as one of the most exciting producers to emerge from the Tru Thoughts stable in it’s 10 years history.

He has followed that up with the release of his new album ‘Daily Intake’, released March 2012. Featuring collaborations with Zed Bias, Natalie Storm, Profisee, Josie Stingray and T-Fly, it’s Hint’s most complete work to date and has continued to set him apart as unique a producer as they come in electronic music.

A master of many trades, Hint’s DJ sets take in hip hop, house, jungle, dancehall and garage, piecing them together like a diligent jigsaw enthusiast and never losing the flow of your feet.

Wow, your Halloween bash sounds like an absolute blast! I'm loving the spooky vibes and the killer lineup. Kris Wadsworth from Get Physical and Hypercolour? Impressive! 🎶 And that Badman Wonky UK Bass set? Count me in! The Attic is going to be bumping.

But hold up, did you say "Till Death Do Us Party"? Now that's a Halloween twist I can get behind. 🎃👻 It's like the perfect blend of eerie and exciting. And those Halloween koozies are going to be the ultimate party accessory, right?

Wishing you a night of electrifying beats, monstrous moves, and a whole lot of wicked fun. 🎉🕷️ Stay spooky and dance the night away!
