We usually head to green, being older than the average Leeds goer (which at 28, is rather depressing!) and we usually head to green these days. It's pretty far from the arena, so expect a good 20 min walk to and from every day, but it's fairly quiet and incident-free for the most part, so if you want to get at least a few hour's sleep each night, It's a good bet. It has a decent number of food stalls and toilet/water facilities and compared to most, I'd say they're generally on the better side come 2 days in.

I think yellow is still regarded as the place to be for the cool kids. Just don't expect much/any sleep/sobriety for the weekend if you head there!

Orange is pretty lively despite being a fair walk from the arena.

Trouble is you've gotta walk up an absolute t**t of a hill to get to it which if it's wet can be pretty difficult!

Also dont confuse orange with orange funfair, unless that is, you can't get enough of the star wars music and you also despise sleep! Other than that I like orange!

Yellow - Under 20s, loud, usually a bit of tent burning on Sunday, 5 minutes from arena

White - Fuck knows, kinda hidden, always seems a bit shit as there's no people passing through for random chats etc. 5 minutes from arena

Blue/Red - either side of a valley, loud, usually a bit of tent burning sunday, near picadilly party, my personal favourite. 10-15 minutes from arena.

Orange - Still pretty loud, quite big, probably best atmosphere IMO but up a massive hill and a good 20 minute walk from the arena.

Green - Bit quieter, lots of big groups as there's more space. 25+ minute walk from arena.

Brown - Half an hour away, basically family camping.

Edit: missed Orange funfair. Don't camp there.

Probably a stupid question but I'm looking at the map and I'm wondering where's the drop off point for buses? Is that at the Bus Station next to yellow or the drop off/pick up point next to red?

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out. Another question though, green campsite sounds ideal what are the chances of there still being space around 5pm thursday?

There's no difference between red and blue really. It's just either side of a big valley.

There's basically yellow opposite the arena, then one other path from the arena to brown, through all the other campsites, except White. White's weird, I dunno whether you'll have space because I almost never go there. It's over to the right hand side behind the oxfam tent and stuff as you walk away from the arena, before you get to blue, right?
