After the huge success of 2011, we are excited here at Sunrise Head Quarter to announce that Sunrise Celebration will be back in 2012 with a new date: 21st to 24th June, taking advantage of another Glastonbury fallow year and coming back to the Summer Solstice week end where it all began 7 years ago!

SUNRISE CELEBRATION 2012

Another World is Possible

June 21st-24th 2012

Gilcombe Farm, Nr. Bruton, Somerset

www.sunrisecelebration.com

100% Renewably Powered! 100% Family-Friendly! 100% Fun and Fabulous!

Sunrise is back for its 7th year, brighter, better and bigger than ever before, and returns to its original Summer Solstice dates!

It is one of the UKs premier underground festivals of music, creativity and sustainability, and one of the few genuinely 'green' events with a concentration on arts, music and culture.

Sunrise features a buzzing blend of cutting edge and contemporary culture, with a musical journey ranging through dub, world, ska, electronica, psy-trance, breaks, reggae, folk, Balkan beats and much much more...even old-time swing and a sprinkling of jazz!

4 days of magical sensory delight in the beautiful surrounds of Somerset's rolling green hills await you. SUNRISE is a celebration of human creativity and potential, featuring all manner of inspiring talks & workshops to facilitate the growth of strong, sustainable co-supportive communities.

Early Ticket buyers had the opportunity to attend an extra night at the festival for the Summer Solstice night, Wednesday June 20th 2012. (All Solstice tickets are now sold out)

We've spent the winter months rejigging the model once more, bringing in some amazing new content and working hard to make sure that 2012 is the best Sunrise yet!

Competition times guys…

If you're a band or a Dj and would like to win a slot to perform at Sunrise Celebration 2012 (amongst other prizes), this is for you…. (If you've got mates that might be interested, then spread the word :))

So.... we've got 2 competitions running at the moment…

N°1 - THE SUNRISE FREEDOM SOUNDS:

sfs_web.jpg

The competition is run in conjunction with Freedom Brewery, one of the UK’s only handcrafted organic lager producers and firm friends of Sunrise since 2009.

2 separate categories in this competition:

1st: The Bands, who will win a slot on the outdoor Sunrise Main Stage,

2nd: The DJ’s who will win the chance to play a set on the Sunrise Solar Dance stage.

All entrants have to do is upload a track to the Sunrise Soundcloud competition group. More details on how to get involved through the Sunrise website.

N°2 - THE GHETTO FUNK & SUNRISE CELEBRATION DJ MIX COMPETITION:

ghetto-funk_web.jpg

We have been teaming up with the infamous Ghetto Funk later to offer aspiring DJs (into bass/party music, hehe) the opportunity to win a peaktime set at the festival in the Ghetto Funk Nightclub.

The winner will be playing alongside STICKYBUDS, DANCEFLOOR OUTLAWS, GOODGROOVE, HONG KONG PING PONG and many more. The winner will also get 2 tickets for the festival.

For more info on this one, please read THIS.

Good luck
