Alright all...

Glad to say my tickets arrived on sat morning...but forgot that when I registered I had a full beard in the photo, but now I am beard free as smooth as an egg..my problem is how keen are they when they check the ticket..don't really fancy growing one back. (not enough time)

But I do look a lot different..any other people had this hairy problem.

Nice one. :)

I'm now 21, and for some stupid reason, my ticket has a photo of me aged 14. Was a brunette - now blonde. Had the same problem last year and just brought my ID incase - wasn't questioned though!

I was worried about this as I'm still using my 2007 registration pic. I had hair back then and no beard. The girl checking the ticket last year studied it in depth, before proclaiming "yes, that's definitely you"

I am taking extra ID, just in case, basically my passport (where I had even more hair) and last 2 years tickets (also same photo). I'm probably being overcautious, but you never can tell.

As said elsewhere (same thread, different forum...tut tut and all that;)) get them to focus on the facial features such as mouth, nose and eyes, I look quite a bit different to my registration pic now as its several years old, but they seem to recognise me without an issue. I am sure they are used to dealing with different hair, etc as the majority of people's pics are a minimum of 6 months old from pre-oct registration.

collect your belly button fluff from now until the event then fashion said fluf into a lifelike representation of your once full beard. Save some in reserve in order to accomodate 'pass outs' where you might want to return to your vehicle for beers, waterproofs, shaving equipment.

Firstly, a beard should never be viewed as a problem!

Secondly, if you take some photo ID with you you should be fine. It doesn't really matter if you've got a beard or not on the ID. A combination of your photo on the ticket, your name on the ticket, your photo ID and your own face should be enough to get in. A beard doesn't change how you look that much anyway.

My photo is from late 2006 when I had long hair and a bushy beard (think Jesus...if he came from Manchester) and now I've got short hair and a well kept beard. I don't think I look like my picture anymore but never had probs getting in.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
