As far as I understand it Pulp are headlining Leeds with The Strokes subbing. There's a BBC link floating around somewhere.

If Strokes didn't do Leeds there would be outrage. The writer of the article has probably read '...but Pulp are headlining Leeds' and run away with it.

Yeah Pulp are rightfully headling

Think it's a good move as The Strokes are no way big enough to keep maintaining their headliner status. So having Pulp there to headline one day is a really good idea.

didn't Melvin say it was their last UK Show aswell? so maybe he thought it'd only be fair to let them Headline with Strokes playing below them

Going by what I can read, it says updated 21st march 7:46, this thread was started today 23rd march.

At the time of posting it did say that the strokes wern't playing. Now it's cleared up cheers.

The announcement, which was made tonight, revealed that a newly-reformed Pulp will play before The Strokes at Reading, but will top the bill themselves in Leeds. My Chemical Romance and Muse will play both festival sites.

Because they are both playing bot sites? Just cos it didnt mention the strokes didnt mean they werent playing both, seen as they didnt mention the 20 odd other bands on the bill. Anyway it dosent matter anymore

well what kind of silly article about the reading and leeds festivals would specify the headliners were playing both sites unless it had reported that one headliner was only playing one site

Who likes the new album anyway guys?

Personally I think that 'under cover of darkness' is one of the best things they have ever done. The band seems to hate their new album and seem to have disowned it somewhat. Due to this you can expect a lot of hits. Anyone got a likely or dream setlist?

Anyone that says they hate it needs to listen to it again, and then again. It's not first love first listen album because it takes a while to get used to the fact that it's not gonna be in the same style of Is This It or Even Room On Fire. Once you can appreciate it as a different kinda style and get over the dissapointment that there's no Last Nite soundalikes on there, then you can recognise it for being a greaaat album.

And where have you read that they hate it? Casablancas has come out saying he loves it. Loves it so much that he wants to get right back in the studio next month. Angles was the album that stopped them breaking up because it made them realise that they still have so much left to give.

I had to listen to the new album a few times before loving it. I can't wait to see them, going to be brilliant. As long as Reptilia, Last Nite and Juicebox.
