BBC coverage

The BBC coverage from 2005 and 2007 was what convinced me to go to Glastonbury in the first place, I don't see a problem with good coverage making people want to come.

Without the people who come for the mainstream music on the other stage and pyramid the festival would of been dead long long ago, you might want to consider that before silly sweeping generalisations. The atmosphere at glasto was once again great this year in my opinion.

The BBC's coverage of the festival is piss poor compared to CH4's ... I want to see more of the presenters mingling with the crowds and getting stuck into things just like they did in the old days.

I'd rather see Glasto on the tele like it really is and not the just for the music, it does show bits though, but not enough.

Less Babylon please and more Glastonbury Festival.

I dislike how a lot of the BBC coverage was in isolation of the actual festival itself - having their own sterile, atmosphereless private stage area for bands to perform "exclusive" sets - this goes against the grain for me. The interviewers should be backstage, interviewing the musicians when they are breathless and high from their performance, or they should be in the pits at the front getting involved. All in all, the BBC coverage is way too sanitised and doesn't really get to the heart of the festival.

If they are chavs then hopefully they won't be able to afford tickets :P

I don't just think the BBC coverage is promoting crap music but also the line up obviously. I mean N dubz, Chipmunk and Tinchy at Glasto? I know it's meant to have different music but not that please!!

can see what people mean by the BBC covering way too much of the nmain stages and none of the cabaret , theatre etc but the fact remains that I have 20 hours of coverage at home to wade through and I am delighted to have it - the glasto down the years clip they did to the temper trap song is ace too
