Glasto withdrawls

i have spent the last 48 hours doing not much else except thinking about glastonbury.

Looking at Glasto pictures.

Downloading music heard at Glasto.

Dont get me wrong, Monday morning i was more than ready to go home, i was tired, hot and smelly. But by Tuesday i was none of these and was ready to go back.

I know there are a lot ( not everyone) of moaners on this site, who moan about prices, teenagers, chairs, the music, the heat etc. But none of this stuff bothered me one bit when i was there.

What was everyones favorite Glastonbury 2010 moment, either musically or none musically? Upload a picture if you can :)

First day back at work for me, had mixed emotions walking to work this morning while reminiscing to Muse on the ipod. Sad that it is all over, but couldn’t stop smiling at the memories!!

Massive thanks to everyone for making it a top week!

Spent the last 2 days watching the catchup on BBC4, which i have thoroughly enjoyed and uploading my 400 photos on facebook.

Just thought I would summaries my highs and lows of the festival. Feel free to add more...

Best Music Act – Muse / Stevie (both of these blew my socks off)

Worst Music Act – Without a doubt Gorillaz, talk about let down. Went to see them with an open mind and was really disappointed!!

Most Random thing – Spotting Prince Charles has to be up there!!

Favorite food – hummmm, that jerk chicken went down well

Funnies memory – Slapping some bass with the air guitars while watching Muse

General highlight – Really enjoyed the stone circle, chilling out with the candles and lanterns etc

General low point – Missing my fianee and wasting 4 hours of my festival watching sh1tting England

Point in festival when you realized WOW!!! I am at Glastonbury and this fo0king rocks – I did get a little emotional during Stevie and when he came on with Michael Evais. Also on top of the hill whilst enjoying the view of the site at night

Special thanks to everyone on this site who helped with questions and provided some great advice...you rock!!

Peace and love.

My first Glasto and it was great.... despite the 1200 mile round trip from Aberdeen.

Highlights:

Best Music Act – The King Blues / Frightened Rabbit / The Big Pink

Worst Music Act – Gorillaz, was bored to tears and went off to do something more exciting.

Most Random thing – Block 9 / shangri La / Unfair ground - a crazy, crazy sight and well worth the walk round. The Fire and electro dancers at Arcadia were a sight to behold too. I was gobsmacked.

Favorite food – Falafel and the awesome Pie stall beside the introducing stage.

Have the festival blues today.... roll on T in the Park next weekend!!!!

Amazing week! Quite possibly my best Glasto yet.

Highlights - Stevie - LEGEND! Technically flawless. Scissor Sisters, Turin Brakes, Snoop (ace!), Bez's Acid House (genius) and Shangra La in general...

Very sad it's all over, it went SOOO quickly. Need to get planning more things to look forward to this year.

All's been said about Gorillaz right? Massive shame...I think perhaps wrong slot for the festival...

Best Music Act – Stevie - almost had me in tears.

Worst Music Act – was dragged to see Giggs with a friend, awful man, with awful music

Most Random thing – Me and my friend who is a girl, snogging the same drunk girl in Shangrila at 5am Sunday under a blanket in a Japanese back alley thing. lol

Favorite food – some Veggie Curry Platter thing near West Holts

Funnies memory – Watching Bex in his acid house. My friend didnt understand what BEz does. "Hes just standing there waving his arms" "ermmm, yeh!"

General highlight – I might have to go with Stevie Wonder again, maybe when he sang Human nature.

General low point – The first 30 minutes of every morning.

Point in festival when you realized WOW!!! - Watching Dizzee rascal, i climbed some Wooden Pagoda with hanging baskets and i could see the whole festival and all the stage, FANTASTIC.

Best Music Act – The Flaming Lips- Without question the best live band I have ever seen. Perfect in every single way.

Worst Music Act – Muse- Boring, pointless and shit. When The Edge came on it was alright though.

Most Random thing – Pretending to be a fish with like 50 other people and going up to balls u like and saying: 'Hello Balls U like, Like U balls, U like balls, Like, Balls, balls" whilst some random guy was pointing at each word on the sign.

Favorite food – The lamb rolls and the fish and chips.

Funnies memory – My mate filming my tent giving birth to me.

General highlight – Everything

General low point – Nothing

Point in festival when you realized WOW!!! I am at Glastonbury and this fo0king rocks – First view of the pyramid stage on the Wednesday.

someone should start a post-glastonbury festival in a nearby field for those who don't want to go home! I miss it all too!

Best Music Act – Snoop Dogg (fun in the sunshine) and Muse (esp. with The Edge - that felt like a proper Glasto moment to me)

Worst Music Act – MGMT. Just dull dull dull, new songs sounded like indulgent crap. Boring.

Most Random thing – a guy dressed as a lizard with a green painted face slithering past us on the ground by the Stone Circle on Wednesday night.

Favorite food – Goan fish curry

Funniest memory – when my husband (dressed as a spaceman) high-fived a guy at 5am on the way back from Shangri-la, before the guy realised he was also wearing a space invaders scarf and called him back ... whereupon they both made space invader laser noises and pretended to shoot each other before walking off without saying a word

General highlight – the weather - NO RAIN !!!!

General low point – queueing with no organisation in the baking heat for 3 1/2 hours with no water trying to get in

Point in festival when you realized WOW!!! I am at Glastonbury and this fo0king rocks – Stone Circle on Wed night. Magic.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
