Yeah I remember that place! Glad someone else does cos no one I was with that night remembers it!

I know thay're not really hidden places but there's nothing better than recovering from the night before than a couple of hours in a quiet corner of the Green Futures or Healing Fields.

Have you investigated the "microvenues" in the Shangri La alleys? You've got to get there before or after the post-Pyramid flood of crowds.

I honestly thought that the above was a bizarre Glasto dream bought on by not enough sleep....too much cider, a few too many joints and mass brain breakdown worthy excitement!! The fact that it is real has bought a HUGE smile to my face! I am going to have to make sure i take more pics this year so i can differentiate between reality and my head!

Did anyone else go in that drum machine thing in the alleys in Shangrila. Was amazing! A load of people stood around a console like some retro star trek thing, everyone pushing levers and pushing buttons that contributed to making the sounds/music that you could here. You could press a button and it would loop a sample, then you push another one and it would add in a beat. There was a record button and a playback button.

I had a go and pressed a button then an alarm went off and a load of blokes in white coats came out shouting "stand back". They then took over the console and proceeded to make the most amazing electronic tunes/beats. OMG! Sorry it probably sounds shit, but if you went in it, you know what I'm on about. Then they handed it back over to the punters who proceeded to ruin the whole thing all over, ha ha, I wanna go there again! It was next to the moustache shop last year.

all of this sounds cool! Theres also a secret forest next to the stone circle, there is a huge stone throne in there.

Last year about 8am on the sat I partied in there with two hippies and some teenagers who were carrying such an old school ghetto blaster which played tapes. some very old drum n bass was being enjoyed by all!

Is the genereal recommendation to go whilst a headline act is on to get in at the likes of Shangri-La? What sort of time is best to wait until after all the headline acts are done for it to empty out a little?

Not too much floating my boat on Saturday headliners so thinking may take a walk down then.

The traffic situation up towards shangri la right after headliners finished last year was really bad. Just standing about for ages, going where you were told. It took a long time though. Last year, I went for a wonder while Springsteen was on and the festival felt much different. Most of the shops and stalls were still open but there was hardly anyone about. So in short, yea, go up there at like 1/2am or just after the headliners start.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
