Volkswagen Festival at Newcastle Racecourse

Mighty Dub Fest, a VW family festival is to be held at Newcastle racecourse on the 18th - 20th June featuring a whole host of Volkswagens from the classic and iconic Beetle to the most modern models available today all cherished by their owners and on display all weekend for visitors to view. Camping together with live music entertainment, Birds of prey, kids workshops, rock school, arts and crafts, jugglers and other fun activities are also available over the weekend. Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers are set to invade the festival on the Sunday!

Two local VW enthusiasts have come together after spending years having to travel great distances to attend larger VW events throughout the UK. They have decided to bring VW enthusiasts and their vehicles to the North East to provide an opportunity for locals to experience a VW style festival and visitors from afar to sample the delights of the North east.

The venue has fantastic facilities with plenty of room inside and out to host such an event, whether it be rain or shine.

Mighty Dub Fest is a 2 day event, with camping on both the Friday and Saturday nights. An opportunity to come and see a large display of the most impeccably kept classic and modern VW cars and campers. Show and Shine and Concours d’elegance competitions will take place throughout the weekend for different classes of vehicle. Throughout the weekend a variety of bands will perform, culminating with a Bryan Adams tribute band on the Saturday night. Also playing is the winner of the Hollyoaks band competition ‘Redtrack’ who have appeared on this popular soap.

    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
