My mate went on a bit of an exploratory trip round the CF site last night. Parked his car in a layby and walked across the fields.

Apparently the main stage is in a totally different spot and all the campsites are different places to last year. wonder if it will make it harder to get to?

He thinks he's found a spot to camp in, in a wood, but if anyone else is thinking of camping in a wood or anywhere else nearby drop me a private message and we can set up a mini camp somewhere outside the event!:lol::D

The funniest thing is that my mate just walked straight onto the site without being questioned once at about 8 last night! Hope the security is a bit tighter than that on the day, or every scally in the North West will be wandering in! :D:D:D

Having spoken to my mate again, he says the camping appears to be closer to all the action than last year and the camping fields seem smaller, but more of them.

The main stage is on top of a bit of a hill pointing towards warrington (if that makes any sense), so should be better viewing.

My mate lives 15 mins drive away, so not a problem to check around.

We're hoping to find a decent place that we won't get booted away from!

We've got normal tickets, but couldn't get camping tickets, so we've got the adventure of finding somewhere a bit secret.

Funny thing happened though... my mate found a little wood nearby and went to drop some stuff off in there ready for it... only spotted after 10 minutes of setting up that he was about to set us up next to a big posh house in the middle of the wood! Don't think the owner would have been too chuffed, but he got away without being spotted!

Might go up and have a nosy later on, usually do every year since its been in Daresbury. But yeah, I saw the stage going up in a different position to last year.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
