not a front fan myself so cant help (tho I ended up there for muse last year by accident) but years ago errr 2004 I saw the Killers and was at the front - they were quite unknown, played bout 3 in the afternoon, we had heard hot fuss and LOVED it and all went mental dancing in a relatively small crowd - one of the best gigs Ive ever seen!

V is quite unique in the fact that lots of people just get to the front & stay there, regardless of who's on. At every other fest I've been to the majority of the front row changes from band to band with people only keen to get to the front for the act they're passionate about.

Best way is to go to side (left hand side of the stage) and get in that way, we were very close for both KOL & Muse last year. Think I'll be out of the crowd for Oasis as 2 days stinking of piss isn't that much of an attractive proposition.

why the front? its best to be about 10 rows back. providing you are around 6ft tall you should be able to see and have a good crawd around you. i was on the barrier for kasabian and getting crushed against something hard isnt that nice, get 10 rows back and you will be squashed inbetween softness of the people around you.

    • I'd assume he's out of the nominal price range, but... stranger things have happened. Bit Marmite, isn't he, though?
    • Know that it isn't unheard of for a band to headline Glastonbury - for I assume that is all Fontaines would accept now - and play their own stadium/outdoor shows in the same summer, but it feels unusual for British/Irish acts, no?
    • Is anyone attending the Morcheeba/Faithless gig(s) on 10th? Our flight time has been brought forward slightly and, although I can't imagine we'd get there in time for Morcheeba, I think Faithless is doable.ย
    • I Was There the last time Kyie appeared to do this - 2018ish at APE.ย  What a treat.ย  What do you think of the current setlist? Am seeing him next Friday, all being well.
    • I havnt even seen the booking page since 2018 i think, its been absolutely brutal - prior to that i was 'the fella with the knack of sorting out everyone's tickets' cos i'd lead with the groups and the organisation of it all, and tended to be the first one through and sorting out a great swathe of us, and now i'm a know-nothing bum againย ๐Ÿ˜„
