Hi its my 2nd reading fest, but my first time driving.

Is there a lot of congestion going to and from the festival?

Say i was travelling from London to Reading, leaving around 9am thursday morning, the route planner says it will take about an hour.

How long would it actually be considering the extra taffic?

Any advice from people who've driven would be appreciated :(

Thanks.

Ive driven to Reading since 2005, amongst other festivals such as Glastonbury, and i wouldn't advice leaving 9am from London....

There is alot of congestion, but thats to do with 70,000 cars trying to get into the festival at the same time... I always leave 8am from Dudley on the Wednesday (Early Pass) it's so much better, congestion is less and you can go to your prefered campsite....

Id leave earlier if you can..... or even later at night, but getting there for 10 - 11am will be pritty busy!
