Anyone know when the tickets for 2010 go on sale? Do they do a late summer/Autumn sale for early bird prcies?

I have been to V for years, but the hubby and I fancy a change and the IoW seems the way to go. We would make our way down a couple of days before, making it into a bit of a mini holiday....

Any advice or info greatly appreciated! I'm an ioW virgin, and know virtually nothing about the festival at all.

i dont think there are early bird tickets unless your festival first

but tickets are released an age before even the first acts are released and they take months to sell out so you wont struggle getting them

there were still IOW tickets available this year right up until the day, basically they didn't sell out because they wouldn't release act names! I had 2 and had to sell them for a loss as just couldn't get rid of them! I would personally wait to right near the time (unless someone absolutely amazing are headlining) and you'll prob get cheaper than face value. What I'm going to do next year

Cheers for that. My hubby has just been made redundant so the festival budget has been reduced by quite a lot, so I'll see what happens.

Not wishing to go over old ground, but maybe they didn't sell out because the headliners were crap.
