Arriving By Train

Did anyone else have the misfortune of arriving by train to castle cary on the Wednesday morning? We were prepared for some waiting but it seemed like a lot of the stewards/security did not have a clue what was going on. I queued nearly 2 hours 30 minutes, waiting for a bus. There seemed to be a distinct lack of buses and organisation, as people were let on buses who weren't even at the front of the queue!

I will not be going by train next year!

Queued for four and a half hours. I met some lovely people though

They needed more buses really, and they should have organized people better.

We arrived at Castle Cary at 2.30, we didnt walking into the festival until 8.30 ! It was horrible

+ dont try walking to the festy site from the station...its a long way.

If the people that gave me a lift in their campervan are reading... You are legends! and keep the tent

I for one will be writing a letter of complaint. They encourage us to travel green to Glastonbury but we get treated horrendously for doing so!

I too have had some crappy experiences waiting at Castle Cary (arriving and leaving). I now go by coach, it is sooo much better, just chuck your stuff on and get driven right on to site. Coach is also the greenest way to get there. But if you do go by train you can still chant "One less car" from your high horse.
