Toilet roll

Hand sanitiser stuff (if you use that kind of thing)

Water

Possibly snacks

Stage times guide

If you took a load of beer etc, then a couple of cans to save spending too much at the bars - or even better, a bottle of spirits etc.

And:

Sun block.

We tend to take a small blanket or groundsheet out to sit on too. Tend to leave warmer clothes at the tent during the day and pick them up early evening.

i brought a bum bag (which is as stylish as it can be lol) and i've given it the test run and it fits: My ID (I'm 26 but i look about 16), My phone, Money, Lipgloss, pack of tissues, small sanitiser and camera.

WOOO!!! The only problem i have is where to put the booze but i usually buy those wine bottles from the wine bar which i'll just carry around.

What are you going to need during the day?

Generally i'll carry:

Water bottle (often seperately)

Hand gel

Sunscreen

Toilet paper of some form/wet wipes.

Sunglasses case (with usual glasses in)

Contact lense stuff (spare pair of disposables, tear and drip pippets)

Warm hat (for evening).

(I'm assuming good weather so am wearing sunglasses/sunhat)

Nibbles for the day (for me a couple of cereal bars).

Alcohol: A spirit decantered into a 500ml bottle, and a couple of beakers (plenty of mixers on site).

Spare packet of fags and spare lighter

deoderant of some sort (late afternoon freshen at one of the taps)

An emergancy £20 note should I get caught short/lose wallet.

Maybe a lightweight jumper.

Something to sit on, usually one of those small rugs with the waterproof one side (attached to bag so easy to reach).

On my lanyard, the guide, a small solar powered torch. Small spray water bottle (refreshing).

Round my waist, an old woolen dockers shirt and a waterproof waxed cotton overshirt

in my pockets, mini ashtray/tin

fags, lighter

wallet

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
