Just wondering if anyone had any problems with O2 reception last year? I was on Orange and it was good, obviously.

Bit concerned about delayed txts espesh if the guests slots are decent!

Had no problems getting signal on my O2 phone last year. Friends of mine of various other networks didnt seem to have any problems either.

on o2 and last year it could take hours for texts to arrive and regularly got 'network busy' when trying to make a call

its generally ok during the morning and afternoon but dont waste your time trying right after a big act has just finished

Hmm cheers guys n gals. I suppose there is nothing stopping me from buying an Orange sim with a few quid on it and transfering my contacts to my phone..

Gonna give it some thought.

O2 is persistently pish at Glasto, though there was an improvement last year.

Expect to get through to someone by phone if you redial maybe 5-6 times, and don't count on text messages arriving in anything less than 24 hours. You can, however, put *0# at the start of your message, and O2 will send a text to you confirming that the message has been received. (Although this confirmation itself can be delayed...)

All data services are usually blocked for most of the day, as the network prioritise voice / sms traffic over data.

Coverage seems to be better towards the back of the stone circle during the day, and everything seems to be fine from 5am - 7am or something equally daft. (at least, that's when I get a glut of backlogged text messages delivered to my phone)
