THINKING

I really want to see Metallica, Linkin Park, Coheed and Cambria, Machine Head, Lamb of God and so on

but id have to pay over £100 on travel alone so it would be a hefty expensive weekend.

anyone travelling from somewhere in scotland or know any company doing a cheapish run?

Me and some of my mates are travelling down from Dundee. I know what you mean i only want to see a few select bands and a return train ticket to Knebworth is 113.20 from Dundee. But in my eyes Metallica is Metallica and not an oppertunity to be sniffed at.

We also thought about flying to luton which is 20 miles from Soni, and then splitting an airport transfer or something but it really wouldn't work out much cheaper.

Long and short of it is your either going to bite the bullet or not.

But it is Metallica so think long and hard.

Did you see them in Glasgow??

I found a site that had train tickets for around 30-40 ish quid return from glasgow to stevenage (stevenage st is pretty near the fest ground and soni are offering free shuttle buses from stevenage station). So travel shouldn't cos you that much, flights to London are also pretty cheap, so again unless you live away out somewhere in Scotland you could easily get there for £50 max.

If you really like the lineup then just go for it man,

ive never seen metallica before as well thats whats really tempting me.

i watched their preformance at reading and thought it was amazing.

i saw coheed nd stuff at download and although the crowd wasnt great they are like my favourite band so seeing them live was pretty special

I got a flight to brum for 50 notes but that was when tickets first came out. I personally wouldn't miss it for the world! Take a look at that line up sunday man! And no clashes!!! Good luck!

Yeah, what the butcher said about train tickets. Stevenage is pretty close and there'll be free shuttle buses. I live in the general area and all day, every day, all you see is "not in service" buses clogging the streets up, so there will be enough to meet demand.

    • Likelihood is it'll be on Sunrise and Alcove but theres potential for some more in the tent as there have been 8 acts on some days in recent years. Obelisk is likely full now unless they have a few shorter sets thrown in   Im surprised they haven't had some secret sets thrown into the mix this time round unless they do and we find some gaps in the schedule is released
    • I see that Your Party has officially split, another Corbyn leadership disaster.
    • Saturday notes:   MARINA - absolute highlight, a proper diva, I'm so glad I skipped the headliners for her. Also, the crowd was beautiful, no yapping, no pushing, just enjoying the music together. Primavera crowd at its best.   Ninajirachi - One would say that at the end of the last day of the festival, they must have told each other everything, right? Not really. There was still SO MUCH MORE to say. Primavera crowd at its worst. It was completely packed and someone was constantly pushing themselves through the crowd. It was quite difficult to enjoy the set, even though I love her music.   Olivia Rodrigo - The teasing, the speculations, finally the confirmation and the first reactions of people! When I was showing the "tweet" to my partner, there was a young girl standing behind us who asked me very politely if she could see it and if it is really happening here tonight and after she finally processed it, she had the cutest "Holy. sh*t." reaction. Few minutes later, when refilling the water, I almost lost it when another girl beside me started screaming "Oh my god! Oh my god! No way! Oh my god!", staring into her phone. And then also Robert Smith came. I must admit I'm not familiar with Olivia's songs (but I'm planning to change it) and can't really say I loved the set itself, but I absolutely loved the whole Olivia Rodrigo experience.
