I have missed her twice in the last couple of months so would love to see her and her cracking band come August. This is how you play bass:

in true leicester fashion, imelda may played the y theatre on the 27th feb.......crikey i wish they actually promoted their gigs with more than just 2 posters a week before the gig. then people would actually go to them.....

It's been re-scheduled at the Y for 17th May and tickets are (Or were on Monday) still plentiful.

Well, I saw her at the Y in Leicester last night and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Range and style much more varied than you'd expect from just hearing the tracks that have got airplay. Brilliant performer, she is going to blow SSW away, if last night was anything to go by.

No. It was a Bimingham (West Mids, rather than Alabama) bluegrass band called the Toy Hearts. They weren't much cop.

Different strokes indeed. No getting away from the fact they are some fine musicians - especially the guitarist, she was brilliant - and its an authentic bluegrass sound, I just didn't think their (own) material was very strong. Not dissing them completely, promise
