Yes I know Rockness is still 114 days away, but i'm getting excited.

This discussion is probably held every year...but where is best to camp at Rockness? Last year we didn't leave Aberdeen until 2pm so by the time we got to the campsite all the 'good' spots were taken. So we camped on a hill. Worst spot ever!

This year however, we're planning on being there for 9am. So where is best???

Where the efests camp was last year was a good spot IMHO. Quite near the entrance to Nesstival, on the flat bit of ground furthest from the car park (but worth the walk).

Yep was defo a great spot, close to the toilets but not tooo close lol, not to far a walk to the arena and because we were just across from the VIP bit we had our own security to keep an eye on proceedings

we camped on the site closest to the entrance, purely because we couldn't be arsed carrying the stuff any further. decent choice, managed to get abit of sleep, met some sound folk on there aswell. probably same again this year.

We got there about 5-6 last year and queued for ages to get in, luckily had mates already there who saved us a decent spot in the second section about a minutes walk from the top of the hill. Since the friday has acts this year, what time are most people thinking of heading there for?

I'd say afternoon is a good time to get there (1-2).

That way you can get settled and wasted at the same time then hit the arenaaaaaa weeeehhhooooo!!!

Means theres no rush rush either

Think i'll buy myself one of those pop up tents this year...save so much hassle!

They're really shit tents, bulky and expensive. Only takes ten mins to set up a real tent.

I guess it didnt rain much at TITP.......Mine was only £20 from Argos.

I was satisfied and i'm quite a fussy person......Wouldnt take one hiking or anything but good for a festival I think.
