First time at Rock Ness...

Hey

Okay so i'm new to Rock Ness, and I have a few questions.

I'm going with 5 of my mates, and we are heading up on Friday and camping for the three days. I've just been reading on the website and it says that all persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 at all times during the show. I'm kinda fretting now 'cos 2 of my mates will be under 18, and i'm worried that they'll get ID'd and wont be able to get in. Just wondering if this happened to anyone before ? And will they be likely to ID us. :)

If all else fails, I guess we could tag along with someone who's over 21 until we get into the campsite :)

It also says that they search you....Do they search your car ? We're planning on taking a car and filling the boot with alcohol (not so keen for paying ridiculous prices for a pint tbh ;) ) Which kind of leads me on to what is the 'reasonable amount of alcohol' your allowed to take ?

Also are there lockers ? If so much how much are they to leave your stuff in for 3 days ?

Sorry this was so long and all.

Aw man i'm so excited :) x

Youll be fine on the id front, if you feel the guy doing the searching is IDing alot of folk, just shout who wants a few cans of cider and the first over 21 year old guy to respond ask him to "sign" you in for a few cans. My mate was 17 last year and felt scared, but he just asked the guy behind him if he would say he was his cousin in the chance they asked..They didnt.

On the search thing, They search your bags - But you are allowed alcohol in, just make sure its not in glass containers. Empty it all into plastic bottles or itll get binned.

I think the drink prices where reasonable , but cant really remember.

And there are lockers but i didnt get one.

Hope that helped.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
