  1. Ah I was going to sit on this a bit longer but just panic bought eotr.
  2. Thanks for the feedback all. Defo reconsidering now.
  3. Thinking of giving Bluedot a try over Eotr next year. Anyone been to both and can compare?
  4. We don't have your fancy lateral flow stuff here so got a PCR yesterday as a "just in case" after doing the coach airplane combo and got a negative result there. They did say that it'll take 3-5 days from exposure to show so I'll need another again at the weekend to clear me for the last day and trip home. Id be fairly surprised if I caught it at the festival after avoiding crowds/tents. The coach back had a lot of freefacers though.
  5. I'd say there was maybe 10 people with masks in the Tipi (including us). I see the odd person in the toilets with them. I'll do my thing anyway. If you see someone with a mask say hi. Good chance it's me.
  6. All boutique up there from what I saw.
  7. In fairness the non portaloo toilets are pretty great if a bit more pokey than the old andyloos. There seems to be less of them though. Hope they stay in good nick. I was really just annoyed after finding 4/5 toilets in a row unflushed at 1pm first day.
  8. A few food places still setting up. The Persian chicken wrap was lovely
  9. Sorry there are toilets... Thought they were the showers. Not sure where the showers are. They told us the fence is on the way. Charging tent is there.
  10. There was works at Temple meads. Train was longer than the coach and you still needed a shuttle then
  11. Well goodbye to the best toilets award. None in boutique area (not that it matters as fences are missing) and the ones shared with quiet area are already empty of bog roll and have plenty of unflushed surprises. People are animals.
  12. Checks onto the coach seemed to not have many hitches. We showed our EU cert. Wasn't scanned. Some lad seemed to have problems (I think he said it was a US one) but no one was turned away. Doubt it added too much time to the load on.
  13. A few times here https://twitter.com/byhut/status/1433153523856908291 Also Lice confirm time https://twitter.com/licebristol/status/1433161951287336960
  14. One time confirmed. Thursday 4pm at the campfire when we light the wickerman with the organisers in it so the harvest of stage times doesn't fail next year.
  15. Yeh it shutdown at 11. Someone mentioned this in a ticket sale thread. Any largish event usually has a fair bit (5%ish) of movement ticket wise on the secondary market close to the end. Probably on the higher end with Covid and Covid means less of them being picked up as of you weren't commited already you're unlikely to decide to go now. Doubt it'll be noticeable at the event.
  16. Got a message you can't receive messages? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  17. After a day in Bristol it's been a bit of an eye opener how people are treating things here compared to Dublin at least. I knew you all got the sign off from on high to go do what you want but I assumed there'd be at least some consistency with signage in private businesses but most seemed ignored by their own staff. I can see how the predictions of people just throwing caution to the wind at the festival are being made here now. After the third time you're the only person bothering to stick on a mask to go to the toilet its easy to lean towards not bothering. It is completely monkey brain stuff where if enough other people are taking the risk you'll assume it's safe to go ahead yourself. It'll be super hard to stick to whatever preconceived notion of your Covid plan was when you get on the ground.
  18. Flying out tomorrow so all packed now. Hopefully haven't forgotten too much.
  19. You can see everyone if you run fast enough.
  20. If anyone is coming from Ireland btw you don't need to do the tests and passenger locator form. Search for Ireland here. I was in a fuss trying to figure out what the hell Ryanair were saying as I'd previously seen no requirements and then they started saying this was necessary. We're not in the red/amber/green thing. I had thought we were green but we have our own special designation. Green travellers need to do a locator form and a day 2 test (which are bloody expensive!) so be careful if you've not got this all sorted yet.

  22. I remember the big Irish festivals would closely guard the timetable times... never releasing them to force people to spend the money on the programme. They eventually stopped that carry on after getting called out about it by the media. They still left releasing them to the last second so this is not exactly new to me.
  23. This stuff worked for me. https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZEISS-AntiFOG-Spray-Treated-Cloth/dp/B08PK4V67Y/
  24. When I looked at the National Express guidelines it did say people are expected to wear a mask but i see there is some weaseling out where it also says to follow local guidelines and I guess some brightspark in charge over there decided you all don't need masks anymore on public transport? Anyway I'll be on the bristol coach probably alongside a lot of other international travellers.. it is a potential cocktail of new and scary variants.. so perhaps best wear a mask if you are on that coach for everyone's sake.
