  1. I remember one year we chatted to some lad in the food village who had several A4 pages on the entire line up where he had rated and described each and every act on it in some detail. That wasn't you was it?
  2. Is this the busiest the EOTR forum has been? I feel like the last few years you'd get maybe a page a week if you were lucky.
  3. Don't think it is clear which half of the field will be Tangerine fields but if I had to guess I reckon the other fancier options would be closer to the showers so TF would be the top? There is a boutique parking but as it is all new this year no idea how far it will be. Tents had more room between them than your average campsite so you should be fine to sit a couple outside but you won't be getting a 12 big circle worshipping a beerhenge in there. There was phone charging in the boutique in the past in the pamper tent. You bring your own charger and you try get a socket on the plug extenders that start resembling the IIS after a while. Get a power bank and save yourself the time of trying to deal with it I'd say.
  4. Did times come out or are people just complaining about the clashes that are happening with the placeholder times in the Clashfinder?
  5. Blood Wizard is possibly the most misleading band name since Savage Garden.
  6. Food just went up. No Thoroughly Wild Meat company and no return of Goan Fish either but a fair few favourites back.. it could have been a lot worse.
  7. The uncertain future of festivals is why I am going to take the risk to attend but I am not going to be treating the festival as some magic zone Covid can't follow me into. Someone mentioned it was great at Greenman to just "forget about Covid" for a weekend but the virus doesn't give you a weekend off. I'll be masking up as much as I can in the toilets and tents. I'm sure I won't be perfect at remembering to do it but it should be normalised that it is OK to do and it would give some additional level of safety if others all did as well on the chance some of us are carriers. I'm not going to be screaming at anyone to follow suit.. I won't be expecting anyone to give me grief for reminding them about covid either it just feels like a small sacrifice to allow the festival to happen somewhat safer. I'm double vaxxed and I really wish that meant I am bulletproof but it should be clear to all that's not enough these days with Delta around.
  8. That's the thumbnail file from the video.. Ill play around to make it bigger
  9. I get the feeling Beavertown is gone. The "your favourite tipple might be missing" comment from EOTR and no sign of it in the drinks area while Fever tree and Cider bus got added is what I am basing it on.
  10. The reason they've no day splits or times out yet is that there aren't any.. the entire program is just BEAK> morning to night.. playing in lieu of everyone else.
  11. They'd obviously planned for something very binary originally. NHS vaccination proof or lateral test for everyone else. Much easier to train for but the reality is not as convenient. I reckon someone was smart enough to realise that a bunch of EU, NI, IOM vaccinated people would have been at the gates waving a variety of docs, regardless of communications to say they wouldn't take them. A lot of those people would have arrived on public transport with no way off-site. We'd need a Malcolm Tucker to come up with a word for what that would have been like. "U-turn" has negative connotations but to be clear I'm very glad to see them respond and sort this stuff out relatively quickly. Its surely a pain to now need every place they'll be checking these things aware of the various types and perhaps each need a different app. I wonder if it will turn into passport control style lanes for NHS and other? Either way it's strange times by anyone's standards and having one less thing to worry about for those attending is in everyone's interest.
  12. Wonder if they'll check people before getting on the coaches. We're on the 8am out of Bristol.
  13. Thanks all for the replies on your feelings on the Covid risks. We're still in. Planning to be a bit more cautious when we're down there based on some of the info. I noticed all the messing with NI and Isle of Man and EU certs are all sorted now. EOTR seem to have u-turned on every situation where someone has called them out on their NHS centric approach to verifying vaccination. Feels like they are trying to ensure a smooth load in Thursday. I'm sure there will be a few people who will be refusing to leave the gates when they fail to meet a requirement and no need to add to it.
  14. Asking the question no one probably wants to tackle but What's the feeling on the ground in the UK about going to a music festival in a pandemic? How dumb an idea is it really? I was lucky and got a ticket back in May when it felt this was on the way to being shaken out. However I'm getting increasingly worried about Delta after having some chats with a lad who had a narrow miss even with vaccines in the mix. 2 vaxxed bros hed contact with are sick. Someone else here was also saying a fair few he knew vaxxed have got it. We'd be flying over from Dublin and on the coach from Bristol after a couple days there. The trip is the big worry for me and we'll kn95 mask ourselves for it but herself has said she's not up for the tent stages already and I'm worried I'm being selfish wanting this. I'm pfizered, she's astrazenecad. I'm sure most of us are "vaccinated! let's go" but I want to hear from people who've canned this this year or are on the verge of doing so for Covid fears. What's your thinking? Regardless I'll offer herself the let's skip if she wants it. At this point the info is for me to try get a real feel of the risk. Anyone I say in Ireland that I'm going to music festival looks at me like I'm a dumbass. That I follow with "it's called End of the Road" doesn't help.
  15. There are several digital banks that'll do you a card you can put limits on. you'll need your phone to keep track of what you spent though. I use one for better FX rates between EUR and GBP too.
  16. Cheese toastie van was cash only. Might have been some card only bars queues but my memory is fuzzy.
  17. Big Top staying shut but with more fans inside (have to awesome the twirly sort and not the human kind).
  18. They've turned around on accepting the EU digital covid certificate on Twitter pretty rapidly. I was going through the NHS test website to see what is required.. it does ask where in the Uk you live to proceed so it would have been impossible to register a result without lying (or putting in the festival as some sort of temporary residence).
  19. Larmer Tree Website has the festival in from the 23rd so I guess that's when the build begins. (returns to scouring the internet for any snippet of information)
  20. They've still to announce their policy. The festival is smaller than ones that have already happened so I don't think there will be any problem with the size. All signs are it is happening.
  21. Calling it now... she's going to roll out in one of those balls like Wayne Coyne in The Flaming Lips.

    Weather

Na 2020 was the bad year.
  23. https://www.nationalexpress.com/en/help/luggage-lost-property I've got them a few times to festivals at this point and I don't recall anyone getting into trouble for having too much so they're not like Ryanair on the weighing or anything. I'm pretty sure I've seen the odd 2 wheel trolley go on.. but if you are thinking some sort of flatbed kart or something you might have an issue.
