  1. I'm afraid it's off. Micheal mislaid the keys. They might be down the sofa or in his coat. Aren't they where he left them? He already looked there!
  2. This year will be the first in a long time to have almost all the Irish goers in it, a fair chunk of let down UK people and the regular international peeps. There's going to be loads who had their tickets posted but didn't get them spending ages pleading to get replacements. For everyone else they've to find their actual ticket in a filing system that will be later described as "inadequate". It will almost certainly be a shit show for the ages. I hope to be wrong but if I get through it in under 3 hours I'll be surprised. Plan accordingly. ps this is all Wednesday morning talk. It'll be a comparative breeze if you are doing other days/times probably.
  3. I don't think anyone in Australia was getting their ticket sent to them. What does it say when he logs into https://www.seetickets.com/customerservice with his order reference (not his registration details)?
  4. What was the time on the baggage like? This is now my biggest worry.
  5. I'd say the smell would be pretty bad.
  6. Ah no. This was always good soakage stodge that never had a queue early in the morning. Is there anything else even close?
  7. I gave the 3 person F&B (Mh100?) a go at the weekend. Easy to get setup but the festival was super windy and the ground hard so I didn't peg it down as well as I should. This tent really needs this if you don't want it flapping around like mad don't skimp on this like I did. It was certainly dark inside and I was happily sleeping in well into the 11am territory without realising. The darkness is really oppressive though and very hard to find things. Get a proper strong light for it. I had an ancient 3 euro pop up lantern with a single LED in it and it just didn't cut it. I think when I put it up for Glastonbury I will run fairy lights on the inside before putting on the over sheet.. Might help with that a bit. I am hoping they'll show up a bit on the outside too so they can do double duty as "This isn't the Fresh and Black you are looking for".
  8. Wasn't that only offered to the campervan people? In the past the ticket collection setup is rows of cardboard boxes filled with the envelopes with the tickets. Usually grouped by surname letter. I find it odd they'd have that in one location then move it to a second location after 8pm.
  9. No Problems. I need all the ticket karma I can muster for the queue on Wednesday as I'll be doing a pick up myself. Happy to try spare anyone else from that. Drop me a message if it looks like you need it.
  10. I will leave D6 at 3.30pm Tuesday for the airport. If someone can get them to me before then I'll meet you in Bristol Tuesday night (9pm ish) with them if that is any use to you at all.
  11. So what's the plan for the "international ticket collection" queue (or Queue-zilla as we are already calling it in the group)? Someone got some tunes? Drinking games? singalongs? Should we try for a world record? Most people in a queue pissed at Seetickets? Lets see if we can get it official!
  12. Friend in Dublin received a festival ticket posted on Friday. Mine are still not sent. He asked for a change to deliver after I did so seems to be no pattern as is the way with these things.
  13. Almost certainly.. the other (very likely) situation is we won't get any emails or tickets and we'll have to chase See tickets ourselves for the privilege of being told to collect them at the box office.
  14. I have so little hope these tickets are getting posted but at the same time I know the ticket queue will be an absolute horror show which will probably be 2 hours+ so I am still holding onto my tiniest sliver of hope they sort this.
  15. I'm in the same boat. Had See change the tickets to post but no movement. The worst case scenario is they post them and we don't get them as we've to convince them to issue a replacement which is apparently a pain in the hole. However I am starting to reckon the "tell them we'll post it" thing was just to stop us all from harassing See to change to delivery and they had no intention of posting tickets to Ireland. At this rate we'll all be in the queue for the box office collection Wednesday morning (with a good chunk of the UK goers by the sounds of things). Can't wait to piss away five hours of the festival there.
  16. It's an inner first pitch. Sure your putting the poles into the inner tent not the outer?
  17. Turning off bluetooth is a waste https://www.androidauthority.com/does-bluetooth-drain-battery-1145853/ and you’ll disable the handiest feature of a smart watch... getting notifications to your wrist so you don't need to fish for it in your pocket. With a little work you can get something setup to ping you to let you know when you've to go to another stage.
  18. I reckon any progress on this in the last while is going to be setback by the 2 lost years. Probably with a bunch of other things as well such as Leave No Trace. There's going to be a knowledge gap where had things not being interrupted "the way to behave" would have been passed on to the new generation by the old. I reckon there'll be a lot more people this year on their first Glastonbury than before. Messaging should be more prevalent and extreme to offset this.
  19. Thanks for the locker recommendation. I've done that before to get battery packs which can't be delivered to Ireland. It'll be lost in here probably but a friend was wondering if the one in Castle Cary will be rammed with people doing this. He was considering getting pretty much all his stuff sent there to pick up. I'd imagine it will be. Anyway I was just trying to reduce the amount of weight I've to haul across the site on the way in. Way out is less of a problem as I'll be a good few beers lighter so no problem with it coming home. I've resigned to bringing one anyway now. I just ordered a much lighter pump to replace the lump that used 4 D cells which should shave off some weight.. need to see if I can get a light airbed now. Pretty sure the thing I have is 3kg (a previous on site purchase I brought home). At least Ryanair have increased check in luggage to 20kg since I flew last. It was always hairy with 15kg. Do they still do free toilet roll on site?
  20. There used to be a couple of places you could order camp gear to pick up at the festival which usually was a little bit cheaper than buying it there but I can't find any at the moment. All I can find is a long dead Millets link from 2010. Anyone know who the camp shops are at the festival these day and if they'll let you order things in advance?
  21. Decided to grab a F&B on the back of the hype. Used to have an old Coleman Bedrock which was great for the flight from Dublin (and the walking) as it was only 2.5kgs but a glasshouse if it ever got sunny and it would leak if it wasn't pegged completely taught. Had to get the 3P F&B poled as Dublin Decathalon was out of the 2P so it is a bit heavier than I'd have liked. Got some lightweight pegs on the way to take shave a little weight off. Is it safe to do a bit of customisation with markers or highlighters on the outside of the tent? Don't want to compromise the waterproofing or anything. By the sounds of things the festival is just going to be a sea of these identical tents so want to keep too many lost travellers from insisting I am in their tent (and to avoid the scenario where they're right!).
  22. Will Thoroughly Wild Meat Co. be back? They were missing from End of the Road last year. The Lamb Tagine is the perfect lunch time feed to take you well into the night.
  23. For people who got their tickets changed from Box Office to Postage did you just log the request in the Seetickets page for the order? Did you give any explanations or justifications or just ask nicely for it? edit: asking nicely via the query form attached to the order had Christopher back to me in under ten minutes say it will be posted!

    Boris @ Glasto

Sooo what you're telling me is that Japanese Noise Rock band "Boris" have not self confirmed? From the highest highs to the lowest lows in a click...
  25. We'll be lucky if they've a ticket pickup on the actual site at Gate A. At least once in the past back before they used to send out the tickets for international orders it was at Bath and West showgrounds nearby with shuttle buses back and forth. It added a good few hours to the whole process. It is extra annoying now as I had booked my NX to the festival site before I realised that this is most likely what will be required. I'd probably have arranged a taxi share to Bath and West to avoid having to go from the site to there if I knew this was up. I can't say for sure this is what they will do but it was the process back in 2007 before they started posting international orders (it was a collect in a record store in Castle Cary in 2005 I am pretty sure). I have a memory of getting them on site one year.. perhaps 2008 so I am hoping this will be what they do. If there is any sign of them doing anything other than having them on the actual festival site we all need to scream loudly as much as possible to get them to reverse the decision otherwise write off the Wednesday morning. Bath and West looks close on a map but the traffic means the shuttles can get jammed up for ages.
