Lol she will never live that down, though I still remain surprised she would not be top bill. Obviously "bigger act" is a subjective term and hard to measure and I'm not claiming the below as a scientific fact (and aware there are a lot of other factors) I just had a look at the spotify monthly listeners The Total of Blink 182 + Oasis + Liam Solo + Fred Again is 53.3 million Lana Del Rey alone has 56.4 million So you can perhaps see why it might come as a shock to her to not be a headliner Given she dominates the others on present day streaming listeners.
-
Not a part act but popular very with the Swifties
-
Wow fair play then the article I read was wrong seems Crazy LDR is not a main headliner given she is mega popular right now..
-
I think it's totally fine to take a photo or two, and film a short clip of 1 or 2 tracks as I get old i want look back and remember the gigs I went to, a little snapshot will help. That being said to film every track is excessive and you probably miss the moment your supposed to be living. I think if there browsing the internet or replying to messages then.... they just means there not keen on the live music they are meant to experience.
-
I suspect the demographic at that gig was significantly older than the 16-21 year olds that make up the main attendees at leeds & reading crowd.
-
Lana, Fred & BLink are the three headliners Liam is on the second stage I'm not giving you an opinion just repeating what has been reported
-
The order Reading and Leeds have listed the acts is Lana Del Rey Fred Again Blink 182 Liam Catfish Gerry Raye Skrillex Spiritbox Digga D I feel like it makes sense for a festival aimed at under 25s
-
Lol not a chance in the year 2023 for a festival In 2024 then Lana Del Rey is the biggest name out of those 6. I know shes currently in the dog house with Glastonbury fans. But her stock elsewhere is massive. Independent & Guardian have listed Fred, Lana & Blink as the 3 headliners Edit - that's also the top 3 in the official Facebook post
-
I've seen them 3 times in one Glastonbury before..... People will moan whatever happens, recon the festival stopped caring about the moaners a long time ago
-
They are now. but Glastonbury is next Jun The AV show is a DJ set. I assume they will revert back to live shows when album 3 drops The AV show would be good on IICon not sure it would work on Arcadia though.
-
Depends how ready the 3rd album Is, the release date is not confirmed. If it comes out pre Glastonbury then I can't see them not doing a live show on one of the main stages.
-
BICEP self confirmed need to start putting them into these lineups.
-
I'm not disputing there popularity. Would never refer to them as a guitar band in a million years. Some songs feature some light strumming. But that's still dead wrong description sorry... Doubt they would even think they were that themselves..... ....
-
Biggest Guitar band? That would probably be the Rolling Stones probably???? Please do not refer to Coldplay as that. They are a massive pop act il give you that.
-
Not a Mega fan myself but I have noticed Jane's addiction are England for Bearded Theory and will still be in Europe for a festival 20th June I just saw the poster for and immediately forgot the name of

Four Tet I think has played every Glastonbury I've been to (since 2013)
-
I was there as well. Played 5 of the new album (which is understandable as the tour for it) other than that only 1 track from Villans so more than half was over 10 years They smashed out 4 tracks each from Like Clockwork & Songs For The Death which are the probably the two most popular albums They played the bigger hits of the other albums. Only real big hits I can think that they didnt play were Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret & FGHOTS. But you can't have them all everytime. So I would say very well put together setlist with the understanding that it will lean towards the album they are touring. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/queens-of-the-stone-age/2023/ao-arena-manchester-england-33a1cc85.html

Sorry if you got this already I did not want to read whole thread
-
Someone shared it on FB they said it at a gig apparently, can not find the original now but people have tweeted it. The Glastothingy have pulled them together on X
-
Have they not just self confirmed for 24 been a few posts on it on Twitter
-
While I get you completely..... One the things I am brutally aware of is that the masses don't want music to be too exciting. Simzy music is not beige enough for most. Sad but true

Repeats question replacing twitter with reddit

Is that the official Bombay Bicycle club twitter account? Does not look like it
