I like the new Album and Arcade Fire will absolutely be in the mix for 2023, its their usual routing to tour Europe the year after their new album (with the exception of EN, where they played a June leg the same and an August leg the year after)

There is absolutely no way she can play a gig in four weeks if there is severe vocal damage. Zach Condon from Beirut did have to cancel part of his 2019 tour bc of it and it took him around a year to recover from it.

The main stages are gravel, the bits area is grass and beach, the rest is concrete apart from a small strip of grass at Primavera Stage. Also there are some bushes around. Just four Weeks today. Properly unreal

At her age, I dont think she would extend a three-date run at home to somewhere outside the UK. to my knowledge, none of the festivals Massive Attack were set to perform has found a suitable replacement for them and I guess we must make peace with the option, that simply noone is available.

I guess since WK1 is the one mostly consisting of returning 2020/21 Acts, it always had a higher chance of dropouts than the WK2 bands contracted specifically for 2022

Yeah, with an orchestral tour that is even harder to plan with than a normal tour of that size. The last years we had acts like Skepta and Miley that had easy to put on productions and both only did rather short sets, if I remember correctly. The expectations here might just be too high.

No. The SA PS are in October/November. No indication whatsoever for PS BCN. Just look at the Lollapaloozas. SA editions have hardly any main acts that appear in chicago, Berlin, Stockholm or Paris. There is currently not a single act mentioned here that is any more than wishful thinking.

Ok I misunderstood your post. I though by "drop some headliners" you meant fewer headliners not more. I wouldn't rule out one more big name, but I really think many here don't realise how unusual the demand is this year and it might just be impossible to bring in someone big. The second part of my post had nothing to do with yours but was aimed at a comment further above

Why would they do that? people on Instagram are just not a metric. Social media aggrevates negativity. You just can't have a diferentiated debate there. Apart from Massive Attack there are 499 other acts on this bill and most of them are great. Its ok to focus on the cancellations right now, and MA is a bummer for sure, but the hate on there is childish af. As for this forum, I think many of us have just taken the absurd gradiosity of this Line Up for granted and then judge from that point of view. It still is by far the best bill in the world, even with the dropouts.
