  1. I would say Lana is definitely the likeliest name as she's at Reading and they often share headliners with Sziget. I would expect Raye in the undercard too. For me, the current line up is really lacklustre and having Becky Hill as one of the higher names is really something which shows how weak it is this year (for an international festival). I think they will bulk it up with some decent undercard but I don't think anyone should expect anything ground-breaking.
  2. As said above there's unfortunately a small pool of female (or female led) acts which fit the 'style' of Ynot/tramlines/Truck/Kendal, especially when you are looking to fit the headliner spots. I've always been one pushing at Reading/Leeds for more higher-placed female names and in that scenario I don't really find 1 of 6 headliners female particularly satisfactory. However, on the other hand bookings are made based on a) what's available and b) what is going to shift the most tickets at the most reasonable price. I think Superstruct should look to have a more diverse line up in general, not just fixated on the headliners. One of the best bands I've seen at Truck was wolf alice and it would be good to have them back, I just don't know if they are available. I think Chvrches or Girl in Red would be a nice booking for a headliner too- Paramore or Avril Lavigne as well, but I think they are probably too expensive.. As much as I like the big moon or Kate Nash they are recycled quite often. Dodie played Superstruct a few years back which was a nice change up (although the crowd was horrendous). Anteros were a really good female led band which used to be present but sadly aren't around anymore. And I don't know what's happened to fickle friends either. But yeah, the top lines of the poster aren't the most diverse..
  3. Given the festival's international status and market, it tactically makes sense to place your strongest names in the first announcement, as has historically been the case, with supporting/boosting names in the following 2 announcements to supplement the first wave. Given the festival attracts an international market ( see announcement of Goldband for people in the BENALUX) - the marketing team is going to want to announce the strongest names as early as possible, to prevent people booking their summer festivals elsewhere. Most internationals aren't booking a trip to Budapest last minute- this will be planned months in advance. Of course, wildcard names are always possible but I would put my bets saying that we have received the strongest names of this year's edition already. It isn't a surprise people are looking to sell and go elsewhere when the first announcement is potentially one of the worst they've ever announced. A rock headliner will still be added, probably a female headliner (or at least strong female name such as Raye), but I wouldn't expect anything groundbreaking moving forwards at this point. They also regularly throw in Macklemore at the last minute too to try and boost ticket sales.
  4. I am camping and what is this about shuttle bus fees?
  5. If Girl In Red is not on the Saturday, are we still waiting for the 'main' Saturday night headliner to be announced? as she's currently on the top of the poster..
  6. Also the festival is beautiful. It's got the best atmosphere of any festival I've been to so far
  7. She's really good as well. Could play Sunday evening slot which Ellie Goulding played in if they manage to get her. But not sure if the line up is complete yet..
  8. Another terrible announcement. And there I was thinking Jungle or Parcels might get announced today... The festival's marketing strategy is really poor. I would actually say poor ticket sales last year are down to a poor marketing strategy, as last year's line up was so much better than this. They are going to struggle big time with this line up. Are we assuming Girl in Red is Saturday night headliner?
  9. The line up this year is decent, but it's nothing outstanding. But compared to the other Superstruct festivals it's way ahead. The headliners this year are stronger than last year, but the undercard is missing some of those more funky names we had last year like Pale waves & Friendly Fires. I'm probably going to go as it's a nice festival, so let's see if they have any more names in store. Girl in Red would be a nice addition as she's touring this summer.
  10. To be honest the Sziget line up is really sub-par this year and I'm not sure it can be saved at this point
  11. Girl in Red!! Amazing! But the only one I'm interested in on the line up, so not worth it just yet for me..
  12. Given she didn't do Reading last year as part of her festivals run, and the new album should come out at the end of this year, I'd put her as a strong candidate for a 2025 headline slot.
  13. For sure, Sziget has the worst line up it's ever had ( so far..)
  14. There's no guarantee this will get big names, last year was rather underwhelming.. New album releases this year from (and realistic options) : Tom Odell, James Arthur, Sigma, Declan Mckenna, Zara Larsson, Idles, Kaiser Chiefs If Becky Hill releases then you can add her to that list as well. Dua Lipa could be possible if she's not booked anywhere else on that weekend. Fred again also likely given everywhere else. I wouldn't go expecting foo fighters or coldplay tbh the big weekend isn't how it used to be.
  15. After going last year and having the best time (it's honestly one of the best festivals I've ever been to), I wanted to go back this year. But I barely know anyone on this year's line up. Sure, last year's line up didn't sell well apparently (apart from the Lorde day), but like you say, I can't see how this is going to sell anymore tickets at all. I'm surprised they haven't got some more indie/rock bands in there, or even some more synth vibes like jungle or parcels. They would fit the festival well and attract some more people. At the moment, sure the usual crowd will go, but they aren't getting anyone coming extra for these names.
  16. Lorde isn't doing shows this year. But I'm sure she will be back at Big weekend for 2025 when she releases her next album.
  17. Any ideas who will be playing Wilderness 2024?
  18. Agreed. Undercard is quite nice there although headliners are somewhat unoriginal. Frank turner is a nice change up which most of the other superstruct festivals haven't secured.
  19. This line up couldn't be any more of a complete change in direction compared to last year. And there I was happy with the pop/hip-hop acts last year..
  20. For me the worst line up Truck have had for a long time. The undercard feels very thin and the headliners just don't speak to me at all. For me 2018/2019 were much stronger line-ups and this just doesn't feel very inspiring.
  21. bicep played 1,5 hours last night (2:10-3:40) so I’m assuming every main stage headliner will get the same.
  22. Would be strange if Lorde is only having 1 hour as she is main headliner, was assuming she will have 90 minutes like on the other headline shows?
