I just paid $150 AUD to see them in Melbourne....that's 85 quid
Fuck me.
LCD were one of my three acts that the price doesn’t matter, I’d pay anything for.
But 85 quid is madness, are gigs typically that expensive?

Gorillaz are probably at Latitude, I thought.
Doesn’t rule them out of a “standalone” gig, even if they’re a “festival” exclusive somewhere else like latitude.

Latitude just shared their recommendations for releases on Record Store Day and selected Gorillaz as one of six. Seems a bit strange to promote it if they aren't playing next year to me

While I think Gorillaz are likely, I don’t think this adds any weight to it. As they say, Damon has headlined twice with two other projects (and the most recent time he played a few Gorillaz covers)

NERD, Bon Iver (heard he was rumoured for this year before he cancelled his tour), St Vincent, Four Tet, Jon Hopkins, Wiki, Noname (don’t know if she’ll be touring next summer but), Jlin, SOPHIE

Another nice thing about it is the waiting list (and returns option) for events

Why is a £7.40 service charge so much worse than a £6 service charge?
It doesn’t have to be “so much worse”, but any saving is worth having if you know that the festival isn’t going to sell out before it becomes available on dice.
Generally though, a service charge of over 10% does seem expensive, especially if you’re getting an eticket and other places offer the same service for 10% or less

This line up is gonna make me sabotage my pal’s wedding, so that his stag do that weekend is cancelled

It’s probably worth bearing in mind that some of these millennials surveyed were 20 when the millennium arrived. Perhaps a lot of the responses were based on nostalgic memories, as opposed to “cool in the last three years”

All of the acts so far on the All Points East line up seem very Latitude. I think they would benefit hugely by making at least some announcements before the start of March like they usually do otherwise people will be spending their money elsewhere for sure this year.
Cant see The National doing it again so soon but Future Islands and The War on Drugs would be great. Really hope Latitude picks them up.
I’m wondering if the reason for the three “APE Presents” gigs, as opposed to a two weekend festival, are because one or more of the acts are booked as a festival exclusive somewhere.
Could see TWOD or Future Islands subbing Latitude, also hoping for Lykke Li, now that she’s touring again

Four Tet playing a couple of rare live shows in Feburary, will definitely be in attendance for one of those.
I’m gutted, going down and staying in London for a long weekend the week after (Nils Frahm and Bonny Bear). Not sure I can justify two trips down in that space of time

Due to passengers release of an album do u reckon he could go?
Yeah, fits the bill quite well for a Sunday afternoon main stage slot

Does anybody know what ticket website O2 presale will link to? Ticketmaster? Should I log into my Ticketmaster/whichever account ahead of time? Not used O2 presale since NIN about 4 years ago!
Axs.
Prices are:
£95 golden circle (insert "sick" emoji here)
£70 standing
£70/60/50 seats
if you've got the o2 priority app it'll direct you to the axs "waiting room" where you can select tickets etc

Mogwai headlined the 6music very recently, I don't see them coming back.
It will have been 4 years ago (by the time the festival rolls around) and they've released 2 albums in between.
I don't think they'll headline, and I'm not sure if they'd take the same slot again but I wouldn't say that it would be because it's too soon

Yeah I thought I'd hate the seating areas when I first saw them, but they were a blessing when my back was hurting one time. Imagine they'd be a saviour in muddy years 'n all.
It never gets crazy muddy, especially at the main stage. Something to do with being at the top of a hill and/or the soil type, I'd guess.
The dust is a fucker in the particularly dry years though

Have decided against this - I have a presale code for anyone who wishes to have it - for up to 4 tickets. Hopefully it's not personalised and you can put your own name on the ticket... worth a pop anyway.
Yes please, if no one's already asked

Excellent stuff, it's well worth it to not trek up that hill! Have there been ID checks tonight?
There were quick scans, not sure if you could get away with flashing ID confidently. I didn't see anyone get turned away, but that doesn't mean it wasn't happening

Come out of Wood Green station and cross directly over the many traffic lights to station road. On the left there is a normal bus stop, and then there will be one after it where the shuttle bus will be stopping. Its £2 I think for a return.
2 hours ago, Brave Sir Robin said:Thanks guys! Found it no problem £1 as well, cheaper than a gin and tonic tinny from the Sainsbury's over the road

Re: tonight's gig at Ally Pally, does anyone know where the shuttle buses run from? We've seen them running but don't know where they stop. tia

They're switching things up a little bit but the bulk of the setlist is the same most nights. Probably best to not look at any setlists if you want a surprise.
Thanks. It's really frustrating because they've got like 2 hours worth of "must play"s imo, and that's excluding the new album. Trying to hold out as much as I can
-
Can anyone confirm if they're playing the same setlist or mixing it all up? Going to see them on Friday and don't want to spoil it a bit by looking at the setlist if it's the same every night
-
Are we assuming that the capacity is going to stay at 40,000 or drop back to 35,000? Because those extra sales could lead to some bigger name acts than earlier latitudes have had (see: two of this years headliners, whether you like them or not).
I don't think War on Drugs are big enough, despite the fact that I really like them. I'd say they're about as big as Fleet Foxes, who got a dismal crowd for a mainstage headliner. I especially don't think they'll headline alongside another American act.
Arcade Fire or Florence et al wouldn't surprise me, can see them being overlooked for R/L in a Glastonbury fallow year. Reckon R/L will go for something like green day, arctic monkeys, Kendrick

not sure Snow Patrol are picnic blanket fodder anymore... unless they make a massive comeback it seems a stretch for them to headline at all let alone as the one to appease 'the one album a year crowd'. Love the idea of Wolf Alice and LCD on the other two days though, sounds sublime that.
Very true, I was struggling to think of an active act in that field that's the right size. I know they're planning a comeback, and nostalgia is selling a lot of tickets nowadays it seems. The Script? I know their single is getting radio 1 play

Wolf Alice, Snow Patrol, LCD Soundsystem
You've got your up & comers on Friday, your picnic blanket fodder on Saturday, and your critical darlings on Sunday

Chvrches or Wolf Alice also potentials for the Friday night uk indie band bump up slot, and more palatable than Catfish et al (imo, anyway).
