Personal preferences aside, if we're talking UK tickets shifted, they definitely are. Played the o2 twice on each of their last 4 tours (including the upcoming one). Biffy have played it twice I think, and Foals zero (Wembley arena/Ally Pally x2 seem to be their biggest capacity gigs)

Just my reckon, but the pic suggests to me that it's more a Stormzy event than APE (if that makes sense). So, I expect more UK hiphop & grime as opposed to a distinctly varied/indie support card

Could The War On Drugs sub? They don't necessarily have the household name or hits, but I think genre-wise they're pretty well suited (but not too similar) to either of GnR/Elton. Sunday looks like the day they'd play, and I'm not sure they're enough of a clash genre-wise to put on the other against those. Of course, could always be Rihanna/a curveball headliner on Sunday, in which case Other headliner would fit
