would love to big thief here but not headliner size shirley?
Got two dates at hammersmith apollo next month, so they're bigger than spiritualized if that's the benchmark
(although I think both them and first aid kit the same year is unlikely)

These split up and formed a new band.
That new band is headlining another day with Folamour, Pink Pantheress, Badbadnotgood, Nia Archives and a few others.
Jungle? Had to do some detective work for that, hadn't heard of their earlier band

Really gone heavy on pushing Lizzo, sounding a bit reading and Leeds festival that. Cat Stevens not the legends do we reckon or quietly boosted to it later?
I reckon Yusuf/Cat is the legend, but damage control if you will to promote a female headliner means no room on the top line for him

It’s a context/grammar joke.
”Eats, shoots and leaves” reads differently from “Eats shoots, and leaves”. Just highlighting the shortcomings of the written word.

Not sure tbh, I think 1975 are much bigger than both of those? Foals are dull as dishwater for me.
Personal preferences aside, if we're talking UK tickets shifted, they definitely are. Played the o2 twice on each of their last 4 tours (including the upcoming one). Biffy have played it twice I think, and Foals zero (Wembley arena/Ally Pally x2 seem to be their biggest capacity gigs)

Shania Twain
She'd be fun, but touring in North America over G weekend

*If* Dua does headline, does that suggest she wouldn’t guest with Elton?

Nobody cares about Siouxsie Sioux coming back it seems.
I saw that and it’s just a shame latitude has gone to pot. It was my local growing up so I used to go every year, but it’s just becoming hostile to everyone not in campers/family camping

Honourable mentions - deathcrash, Claire Rousay, Jockstrap, Chat Pile, BCNR, Just Mustard, Mobbs, Michael J Blood, Kemi, Hinako Omori, Dead Rabbits, Unthanks, Lorraine James, Wu-Lu, Tomberlin.
I imagine you've heard them, but just in case, check out Claire Rousay's collab with More Eaze (& More Eaze's solo album) also from this year!

the capacity has grown by 15K since Jamie XX headlined last, although it did sell well.
Again? I heard that they increased it from 40k to 50k last year (and it felt like it). I can't imagine 65k in that arena

That Outbreak line-up is stacked! Hopefully they run a shuttle bus back and forth to bring everyone on it to the farm

Would love to see Evian Christ somewhere, Skee Mask, a Four Tet early morning set, and hoping for SASS back again as I didn't have a ticket this year

Only UK show of the year for Stormzy. Wonder how the undercard will be curated genre wise.
Just my reckon, but the pic suggests to me that it's more a Stormzy event than APE (if that makes sense). So, I expect more UK hiphop & grime as opposed to a distinctly varied/indie support card

ah right i was quite unsure but thought TWOD weren't even in contention to sub - seems they aren't given people are saying Park.
Cheers, yeah, they're a weird one to place. I keep thinking they're not so big, and then they go and play the o2 every few years

Most acts could do sub or other headline - i'd say Prodigy should firmly be on Other.
They definitely don't fit well under Elton
Sorry! I meant The War on Drugs, should've been clearer
Prodigy definitely fit other headliner over subbing imo
-
Could The War On Drugs sub? They don't necessarily have the household name or hits, but I think genre-wise they're pretty well suited (but not too similar) to either of GnR/Elton. Sunday looks like the day they'd play, and I'm not sure they're enough of a clash genre-wise to put on the other against those.
Of course, could always be Rihanna/a curveball headliner on Sunday, in which case Other headliner would fit

Do any festivals have their own forums?
Latitude used to; then they eventually shut it down and I think some of the users made their own after. Don’t know if it’s still going

Mine matches the last 10 digits of an ISBN for a French children's adventure book (by the looks of it)

Perhaps I'm missing a trick here, as I'm not a tech expert, but if some of the innocent/accidentally banned people in this thread have found a workaround for the IP ban, couldn't the targeted users also do that?

I know they did it last year, but does anyone reckon/know if SASS (moxie, peach, saoirse, shanti Celeste) will play together at all? They’re all about doing their own things
