  3. As someone working on that bar as a volunteer (all front facing bar staff were) I'm not sure if we'd be contractually allowed to handle cash if a wi-fi error occured as it did. I worked the same company at WOMAD and we had about 1-1.5 hrs out there too. It seems the issue might extend further beyond EOTR issues to also the systems used by different contracters.
  4. The Good: First time at the festival, thought it was lovely and a very fun time! Was working at the Crow's Nest (when the Wi-Fi wasn't down) and everyone was great to work with. Showers in the staff campsite, sorted me out so much when hungover and tired. Best acts: King Gizzard, The Murder Capital, Donna Thompson, Moin, Bar Italia. The Bad: Okay I know there's a lot of complaining about toilets so I'll be brief. Compost toilets are good, they're more than fine but... lighting would help, increased cleaning and people actually using them properly. I shouldn't have had to have a conversation with a bloke that compost was for covering his business and not washing his hands with haha. In terms of acts: Caroline didn't get started at all for me and I think Overmono are getting poorer each time I see them but was still alright, not bad per sey. Wi-Fi issues at the bars and food. Lost about 2+ hours of my first shift, not that i'm complaining really but seems to be a recurring problem from what I was told and can't be good for business or for those who didn't pack lots of booze. The Ugly: Nothing! Lovely place, excited to go again as either a punter or working.
  5. Packed everything today, one last trip to the shops tomorrow with a first timer and then off to join the queue party !
  6. I agree with you tbh, just a more hopeful booking if Emily could throw money around like nothing else and get everything more than perfect. Paramore I would stick sub but was trying to shoehorn Pulp and the National in to O head or sub. In regards to Rosalia, IF she was gonna get booked at Glasto I see Pyramid 3rd, Other Head/Sub, WH headliner. Would love to see UK festivals give her some love. I think there's always bookings that seem higher or lower than they should be to each individual.
  7. FRIDAY Pyramid: Blur // Halsey / Iggy Pop / Wet Leg Other: Doja Cat // Jorja Smith West Holts: Nas // Kaytranada Woodsies: Sigur Ros // Angel Olsen The Park: Jon Hopkins // King Krule SATURDAY Pyramid: Madonna or Rihanna // Sam Smith / Rosalía / Anderson. Paak & The Free Nationals Other: The National // PJ Harvey West Holts: Justice // Fatouma Diawara Woodsies: IDLES // Låpsley The Park: FKA Twigs // Sampha SUNDAY Pyramid: Taylor Swift // Pulp / Paramore / Stevie Nicks Other: The Prodigy // Bring Me The Horizon West Holts: Janelle Monáe // Jill Scott Woodsies: Jessie Ware // Bombay Bicycle Club The Park: The Smile // Siouxsie 2025: 1975 or Harry Styles / Dua Lipa / Depeche Mode / Duran Duran
  8. Peach said she was closing NYC Downlow (on the poster) but now absent from the lineup and times. Wonder what happened there as was going to try and get in for that one. What's the queue like on Saturday night at 3? I'm gonna assume chocker!? Thursday: Decision between Nia Archives -> Hodge in SE or Imogen -> VTSS Friday: Floating Points b2b Daphni -> Or:la Saturday: Mala -> LTJ Bukem -> NYC Downlow / Temple -> LCY b2b Misfya Sunday: all open atm but maybe Stonebridge and Bimble Inn Saw Sedef Adasi this Saturday at NTS Fest and it was a very mixed bag, didn't rate it much. Seemed off from what I'd seen online of em so atm leaving them out but was so looking forward to seeing them.
  9. Thanks for the response, I'll just keep my eye on if people have info on positions then. Few acts I'd like to really try and catch but either way just looking forward to going.
  10. Hope I get to catch Elkka and The Murder Capital. Any idea when stage splits come out? Will it be after volunteers select slots, if anyones volunteered before?
  11. Hard stick on this: Fri: Los Bitchos > Joesef > ADG7 > Slowthai > Chvrches > Joey Bada$$ > Young Fathers > Arctic Monkeys Sat: Thundercat > Tinariwen > TBA Park > Japanese Breakfast or Ezra Collective > Rosalia or Mahalia > Loyle Carner Sun: Shame or Jockstrap > BC, NR > Sudan Archives > The Comet is Coming or The Hu, Barrington Levy & Candi Staton or The War on Drugs > Elton John Only thing with Jockstrap second on woodsies into bc,nr on west holts third is a might big double shift for Georgia Ellery
  12. Maybe Dua is 2025, I could see this... 2024: Pulp / Rihanna or Madge / Taylor 2025: The 1975 / Dua Lipa / Foos, Rihanna or Madge
  13. Nabihah Iqbal's got a new record releasing in April. New track just dropped is pretty good, they'd be great on Park or WH.
  14. I'm really hoping I get to catch her as I was meant to see her last year at an event but she dropped out with illness...they're killing it atm! Hopefully another set down in SE or SH.
  15. It was said he was meant to do Arcadia last year. Really hope he's not there as I think it stinks but IICON, as you say, seems a naturable fit. There is the dream, I'll happily take WH or JP tho.
  16. Think Pulp are big enough to headline it in 2024 if The Cure were in 2019. At the time I went to see Cure I knew about 3 of their songs, I could name far more Pulp tracks and I don't listen to either really. They'd also smash it, just like Cure did. Thanks for spotting Two Door duplicate, was moving them around bcos I had Lizzo vs Halsey vs Kelis and felt too unfair to clash three female subheads and forgot to replace one Two Door. Not really sure where to put them tbh, stocks certainly dropped from a few years ago. And I agree, Saturday is looking a bit dire, perhaps Aphex is in John Peel instead of Pendulum if he is playing. Could only see there, West Holts or somewhere in SE.
  17. Taken inspo from elswhere to fill out what I think/hope might be around. Sure there's some awful clashes and wrong slots but tried to fit my thought in. + a little look towards '24 & '25. Friday Py: Arctic Monkeys // Lana Del Rey / Royal Blood / Wet Leg / Christine & The Queens / Sparks Ot: Wikzid // Fred Again.. / Chvrches / Two Door Cinema Club / (Kooks Other Opener) WH: Grace Jones // NxWorries / Pusha T / Denzel Curry JP: Hot Chip // Bloc Party / Rina Sawayama / Shame Pa: Underworld (Live) // Thundercat / The Murder Capital / Julia Jacklin Avalon: The B52s Arcadia: Four Tet x Fred Again x Skrillex IICON: Aphex Twin Saturday Py: Guns n’ Roses // Lizzo / Lewis Capaldi / Aitch / Becky Hill / Sugababes Ot: Sam Smith // Two Door Cinema Club / Central Cee / Caroline Polachek WH: Loyle Carner // Kelis / SAULT / Wu-Lu JP: Pendulum (Live) // Goldfrap / Death Grips / Nova Twins Pa: Siouxie // Marcus Mumford / Weyes Blood / Fever Ray Arcadia: Chemical Brothers (DJ Set) Sunday Py: Elton John // Lil Nas X / Blondie / Cat Stevens / Gilberto Gil + Family / Candi Staton Ot: Queens of the Stone Age // The Black Keys / Slowthai / Dermot Kennedy WH: The Prodigy (Live) // Rosalia / The Comet is Coming / Sudan Archives JP: Editors // Angel Olsen / The Wombats / Yard Act / (Foo Fighers Secret Set) Pa: FKA Twigs // Young Fathers / Japanese Breakfast / Alvvays Arcadia: Haai b2b Jon Hopkins, VTSS b2b Daniel Avery, DnB DJs 2024: Dua Lipa Pulp Madonna 2025: The 1975 Harry Styles Taylor Swift
  18. First time at WOMAD this year, pretty happy with Femi Kuti, Bombay Bicycle Club and Comet is Coming. Will take a look at the rest and hopefully my shifts can align so I get to see them.
  19. I know the manager from uni, caught him the other day and he let some information slip. My only info I'm afraid.
  20. iirc The Reytons are playing. Would suit the LG crowd for sure.
  21. Songs aren't entirely new but BC, NR have put out their 'Live at Bush Hall' film today. Some of the tracks here are really nice, big fan of Turbines/Pigs. Looking forward to seeing what's next from them and fingers crossed they're on the farm.
  22. This year should be my first year attending End of the Road through volunteering. Whilst I don't think the lineup hits as hard as last years, there are still some great names I'm hoping to see. Overmono, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Angel Olsen, Aroof Aftab and Bar Italia being some notable stand-outs for me. Overall I'm looking forward to seeing what the festival is about.
  23. They seem to be selling out dates well across the UK. Few things planned in EU if my memory serves me right, big festival. I'd still stick them on early-mid JP but they may be higher than my estimation. I think they've sold a fair few from the conversation I had. Some decent festival dates this summer for them so they should be in good stead come end of September. I've known someone involved for quite some time so it's nice to see that they're doing well for themselves.
  24. Loads of great acts here I'd love to see, just think some of the placement is off like you've aluded to. Nice crack at it though! The Reytons I've been told, from a reliable source, haven't yet been offered a slot but hope to be playing. If they play I'd expect them to be booked 3rd up JP not 3rd down Park.
  25. Yeah they're not too similar, but maybe it would split more casual fans of the two, or those after 'dance' acts. With the new record, you'd assume they'd be there again though, just not sure where atm.
