  1. Looks like it's Ed Sheeran in March.
  2. Yeah good point. Aldous Harding would be much better in that slot imo and would suit the intimacy more.
  3. India Jordan, Scalping and Steam Down for late night tipi although they could put India Jordan in the big top mid afternoon like they did with Loraine James.
  4. got a funny feeling Black Midi might be Garden headliners. Edit: They are normally taken from the third and/or fourth line (very occasionally line two) of the line up poster. I reckon its between Black Midi, Aldous Harding, Perfume Genius, Tinariwen, Kevin Morby and The Magnetic Fields for Garden headliner with a fairly strong chance of another contender being added later like White Denim were in 2018. Kurt Vile definitely seems more like a Woods sub to me. I think we might be overlooking the possibility that The Magnetic Fields are Woods subs.
  5. Whoops. Point mostly still stands though.
  6. A female Garden headliner makes sense seeing as all the Woods ones are blokes (bar Thursday headliner). Still think she's more likely for Woods sub though. I reckon Perfume Genius will be Garden headliner up against Pixies.
  7. Perfume Genius deserves the Garden headline slot. Really hope that's where he'll end up. Reckon Nala Sinephro will be on the Garden Stage and India Jordan will be late night big top one evening. Part Chimp in the tipi at headliner time makes sense to me.
  8. I guess it's not impossible that they take a stance they did in 2016 with Bill Callahan where he was technically a headliner but played on the Garden Stage. The Jesus and Mary Chain were last on the Woods stage that year but we're in the first announcement with BC, not added later. The press release says that Bright Eyes "top the bill". I think it's very unlikely that they will be on the Garden Stage and if the you are, it's likely that the acts closing the Woods are already on the line up. I still think it's probably The Magnetic Fields, Tinariwen and Perfume Genius for Garden headliners. Think there's an outside chance Black Midi might do it too. Edit: Still think there's a possibility that a Garden headliner is in the next announcement.
  9. 2016 line up was shite. 2017s was much better
  10. You say this but we know that Bright Eyes weren't originally booked to be Woods headliners so whilst they may be decent stand ins, it's evident that Simon originally didn't want then in that slot.
  11. Still can't believe Bright Eyes have been bumped up to Woods headliners. Reckon Simon etc must have gone after some bigger acts who all cancelled, most notably Big Thief, as evidently he originally wanted them on the Garden stage which is a much better fit. It's especially odd seeing as King Gizzard are around the week before. Could have gone for someone like James Blake.
  12. Boomtown peaked years ago. Steady decline since then.
  13. Must sees would be Jenny Hval, Low, Yves Tumor, Beverley Glen Copeland, Deathcrash and Tara Clerkin Trio. Maybe Beach House too. In years gone by I would have included Parquet Courts but their recent album was their worst yet.
  14. Yeah not a bad idea. I'm not totally committed to attending to be honest. Most of the acts I want to see I'll be seeing at other events this summer so will probably just be making a last minute decision.
  15. Hmmm fair enough thanks. I think all th acts I'd really like to see (Beverly Glenn Copeland, Beach House, Jenny Hval, Low, BCNR, Yves Tumor, Arooj Aftab) I've either seen a few times before or am seeing very soon but I may pounce if a ticket pops up in July/August.
  16. Thabks for this. Are there no official resales? Also how big is GM? It's substantially bigger than EOTR's 13k capacity right?
  17. Okay gang how easy do you think it'll be to get tickets for this closer to the time? Is there a resale? If so what are the chances of success. I'm starting to think that Rewire, Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, EOTR and Le Guess Who? isn't enough for one year.
  18. Yeah it was me. They're good, the In Spring EP is especially good. I'm seeing them again in a few days.
  19. Metronomy before Bicep makes the most sense. Kraftwerk are hit and miss live in my experience but should be a good show.
  20. This looks great. Jenny Hval, Yves Tumor, Beverly Glenn Copeland, Arooj Aftab will all be great. Minyo Crusaders are a lot of fun live too. Might have to snag a last minute ticket to this.
  21. Another good addition. Excellent at EOTR and Le Guess Who? in 2019
  22. Fleet Foxes confirmed for the Friday.
  23. Fleet Foxes Edit: oh actually perhaps not.
  24. Fleet Foxes are at EOTR so won't be at GM. Also if they were booked they'd definitely be a headliner.
