  1. Because the former are a heavy metal band, the latter are just a rock band. So if you want a heavy stage headliner, sign a heavy band for it.
  2. Aye could be the main support. Papa Roach have new music that is clear and Slam Dunk isn't their scene plus they would bomb at Reading nowadays. I'd love it but Reading would book about 6 acts around them irrelevant to me. I had 7 acts on the whole lineup I'd take interest in this year and 4 of them were one day. I'm very open to Slipknot Knotfest day not being catered to me but I'll go anyway.
  3. I think that's where KSE and Papa Roach will turn up.
  4. Even if they didn't overlap that much it's fine. LC, ADTR and Distillers are the 3. I could see B4MV slotting in at 3rd. Evanescence/Within Temptation at a push actually makes sense holding back due to the tour in April.
  5. Yup. I've got Volbeat and Rise Against. I also had P.O.D and Alestorm on that day originally too. Biffy are not my headliner choice but given it'll be longer than the 1hr 15 they got at Reading I should get a chance to hear God and Satan and a couple of others. They were not my number 1 choice though given that only half their Reading set I was actually bothered about. Buy Descendants are that day anyway so. I also think Lacuna Coil will still be one further down when more are added, not big enough to be 3rd second stage. The clash finder has Biffy starting 5 mins after they end but I wouldn't miss The Golden Rule and I'd probably leave 10 mins early depending on if they changed that up to catch it. But as far as Download headliners go, it's not a band that doesn't interest me at all. The ADTR and Distillers no clash has done wonders.
  6. Sunday by far strongest for me. I've got one band I'd bother with on Saturday bar maybe Maiden again.
  7. Yup. I think if Frank was there then they would have been announced today. 3rd down I reckon similar where Yungblud was due to play at Reading. This gives me hope though that The Offspring might be at Slam Dunk. I'd love them to be that 3rd band but they would rather just headline a medium fest.
  8. Depending who the 3rd down Friday is I can see me possibly needing a weekend ticket. I also happen to have friday and Saturday already with a new rota and ADTR and The Distillers not clashing is a good start. Currently though i would buy Friday and Sunday tickets with a weekend parking pass and drive there both days given I'm close.
  9. I think tomorrow's announcement will give a good indication of if Slam Dunk have rebooked ADTR again. I don't see them turning up at Reading going by reports of heavier acts. Most of the people I know who like heavier music just wouldn't attend Reading now as it's direction is too far gone. Also hoping for AFI news as they may indicate if Trees have rebooked them for 2022. JEW and AFI would be a very good start there.
  10. Acts were alternating though so Biffy and Gerry were on at separate times? It's a shame. Last time I camped at Leeds I was in white and there was a decent bar just outside of it. It was just plain laughs at fun back then. Had a lot of great times back in the day at Leeds. People say it's always been liked this sometimes but back when I was 18 and started going, I wouldn't have continued for 7 years if I got to the point where it felt uncomfortable. But when you have a banging headache and some girl of her tits on whatever comes through, starts opening tents and trying to pull you out of them you know it's attracting the wrong crowd. Happened to 3 tents just round our camp and white was meant to be a quiet one.

Doesn't matter, it just wasn't a needed comment was it! If you actually took time to read my posts you would see I haven't denied he would sub Glastonbury. He's been my tip for sub for ages.

I've replied to this basically already. I agree with all. Victorious is much bigger now though than when Noel did it, MSP did too and they have subbed and played again lower since. Like Noel, they aren't doing larger arena tours now either.

You're a bit forward there, no need for that shit! My point was at Victorious he wouldn't play a headliner I don't think now. I wasn't questioning him subbing Glastonbury. Though he might the other half, Liam was the voice and he's sold out what he has for that reason.

He could be an act for Victorious actually but he's not big enough now to play a main slot
  15. The prices don't seem much different from this year? £49 including booking fee for Saturday and Sunday is a snip.

Yeah that's what I had the other week.
  17. Ah not a good experience? It all seems so far away from anywhere I would want to be now.
  18. I don't think they'll get Muse but the others wouldn't surprise me.
  19. It's quite bad to read comments on instagram that on here it's too far but they are actually celebrating stuff like that. Pissing on people in crowds and throwing a shit you've just taken in the air!
  20. Oh I know. But the amout of travelling for me to get down that far for me I just want more than that.
  21. I'm going to look at this festival next year maybe again as I went for a day last time and really enjoyed it. Just very far away if not enough bands to see.
  22. The festival I just went to was shocking in organisation. Really really bad. No one working there barely knew anything. Acts pulling out, like big acts with no announcement. Acts moving stage with nothing. This year is literally just a we have your money everywhere. Like below. 2012 leeds camp was full of dickheads. We aren't expecting anything different are we? This is why I'm 100% against yhe use of those types of drugs. I mean I'm already aware I'm already 16 years too old on average for it. 2012 was when i decided never camp again. Negative doesn't mean strictly that though unfortunately.
  23. Looking at some set lists Liam's was very good, very similar to what I saw in Manchester. Gerry played the one song I wanted lol but Biffy Clyro's set was just not for me anymore. Two less songs than Margate too but I've got to the point where too many new songs not the same standard are included. Like for Download next year, the undercard actually for me wanted a different headliner and Biffy were not who I hoped were replaced as this headliner. It's getting easier to just picked Descendants next year now. Also with Catfish, it seems Swansea may be on but like it might not be what I hoped for.
  24. Yeah it was obvious that Van was going to crawl up his own arse eventually. He had that whole thing about him. He clearly always wanted to be 'the big man'. They did but Blur and Stone Roses were never doing it playing like 3rd or 4th down. They'll take the crown for themselves as being the only festival probably ever who can get those two bands to co-headline back to back. Blur crowd was slightly bigger yhat The Stone Roses but nothing special. I was on the barrier for the roses and it was the best they sounded but the long Fools Gold at the end wasn't needed for a set that short. I also don't like it lol.
