The way the drums are facing in the middle of the stage
There's another drum kit behind him facing in the opposite direction.

Theresa May is the David Moyes of the politics world.

Anyone know what time they're on at IOW tonight? I'm assuming they'll be shown on Sky Arts' live coverage?
Also on the topic of which side was Win and Regine's, we did a lap of the stage once we got in trying to work out where to stand. Couldn't work it out so just guessed, and luckily ended up being dead centre on their side. Would have been a little disappointed if I was on the other side. Win went over there a few times but not that much.

Had to bump this thread from the depths of God knows where while sat watching the Sydney gig on YouTube yet again. Having been buzzing for Avalanches for the best part of 9 months, I'm in danger of dropping them for these, despite having tickets for Manchester.
Do you reckon we will get Pink Rabbits? It passed me by on the album but having seen @Will-2609 wax lyrically about it, along with that Caitlin Rose cover mentioned, I've become rather obsessed with it. To the point I spent two hours of today listening to the original and cover, one after the other.
It's hard to say really because they haven't played any proper shows in a while, and won't play any before Glastonbury. Last year it was a mainstay, so I'm pretty hopeful, but if they play a lot of stuff from the new album it may be in danger of being dropped, unfortunately.

Don't Swallow the Cap
Bloodbuzz Ohio
Sea of Love
I Need My Girl
This Is the Last Time
Pink Rabbits
England
Fake Empire
Mr. November
About Today
Terrible Love
I'd imagine it'll basically be the same at Glastonbury, but with The System Only.... replacing something, About Today i'd guess.
Unfortunately I'd imagine we'll get a few more new songs.

Morata to Utd deal looks done. Exciting enough. Very Mourinho type striker.
Zlatan released but staying on for rehab so wouldn't be surprised to see him back next season.
Would be a very ideal signing for you. Didn't he say the other day that he expects to be team mates with James Rodriguez next season, too?

Projection now changed with several votes in, slight increase to the Tory seats number but still no majority
Would mean a coalition with DUP would give them a majority, though.

We're fucked.

Exit poll showed a larger swing to Labour in Newcastle than actually happened.
Worried that thing aren't gonna be as rosy on the whole as the exit poll suggests.

A coalition between parties to form a majority
Between who, though? SNP have ruled out a Tory coalition, haven't they? Lib Dems surely won't go into coalition with them again?

I'm up for work at 7am. Not gonna have a lot of sleep tonight.

exit polls were correct last time weren't they ?
Were correct in that they predicted a Tory majority against the odds but the Tories ended up getting even more seats than they predicted.

Feel like it's still gonna be a Tory majority. Shy Tories init.
Pissing myself if it's true, though. May's fucked it.

id have loved 2 and a half hours of foos, so i could see the first 45 and go elsewhere
Haha fair enough, in theory that sounds a decent plan but I'll be at Father John Misty at that time so doesn't bother me.

Is 2018 s fallow year? I can't keep up. And is the bizarre jamboree happening next year then?
I think 2018 is a year off entirely and the Variety Bazaar is happening in 2021 or something. Not sure, though.

Whereas at first I was mostly just going to see them for a nostalgia trip/because there wasn't much to pull me away, the closer it's getting and with the release of that surprisingly good/not shit song I'm actually pretty stoked for this now so thought I'd give a realistic setlist a go. Some wishful thinking but mostly realistic considering they'll almost definitely be doing a straight up greatest hits set there isn't that much wiggle room:
1. Run
2. Learn to Fly
3. White Limo
4. Times Like These
5. Big Me
6. The Pretender
7. My Hero
8. Arlandria
9. Something From Nothing
10. This is a Call
11. Breakout
12. Rope
13. Walk
14. For All the Cows
15. Stacked Actors
16. Best of You17. All My Life
18. Aurora
19. Monkey Wrench
20. EverlongYou can pretty much guarantee they'll play Cold Day in the Sun and something shit from Sonic Highways instead of Aurora and Stacked Actors but ah well.
Aye Cold Day in the Sun and Congregation in for those. Reckon they'll have some kind of guests, too.

Gonna have to check out some Cinematic Orchestra as I have absolutely nothing to see at that time and I'll be at WH afterwards for Moderat > Justice. Where should I start with them?
Mate is trying to drag me to Courteeners because I said I have nothing on at that time.

Little controversial but remember we're talking two years from now. No female headliner this year either so you would assume they would go for one for 2019.
Chemical Brothers
Catfish and the Bottlemen
Sia
People keep saying this but I doubt they're gonna go for a female headliner just for the sake of it. If there's a suitable female booking available, such as Beyoncé, then yeah, but I doubt they'll try to shoehorn one in.

"We'd also have to play 'Electioneering' then, wouldn't we? So no, I don't think we'll do that."
No Surprises and Karma Police, then I'd guess three from Airbag, Paranoid Android, Let Down and Lucky. Maybe a 'new' one too, Lift? I'd be cool if just two of those last four appeared but please, don't let it be Bloom or The Gloaming that takes their spot.
Last night's setlist looked great. Let Down, How To Disappear Completely and Where I End and You Begin in the same set. Nice.
Karma Police, Paranoid Android, then around three of No Surprises, Airbag, Let Down, Lucky, Exit Music and Climbing Up the Walls (first three the most likely).

It's a shit clash but just means I'll have to hit up the Lips at Rock City in August. Radiohead on the Pyramid is unmissable, and they'll definitely bring out the hits.

Foos are doing 2.5 at werchter
Fair, still Glastonbury has given out slots of that length in the past. Maybe they realised no one can be arsed with 2.5 hours of Foos.

Lol'd at the Electioneering quote.

Can defo see Pulp coming back again, but not sure if I see it happening by 2019.

I think headliners tend to get shorter sets at Glastonbury than they do Reading and Leeds. Foo Fighters are on for two hours, and Radiohead for 1 hour and 45, when they both played longer sets the last time they did at R&L.
Either way Muse will be certainly getting a two hour slot, at least.
Radiohead are on for 2 hours 15 minutes. Foo Fighters were down for 2.5 hours in 2015 so Glasto clearly aren't adverse to giving them a set of that length, but I've no idea why they haven't got that this year. Maybe Foos are planning on shorter sets this Summer.
Muse will get 1.5-2 hours at R&L. No way are they playing for more than 2 hours; they never do.

To get warmed up for the festival over two months in advance?
Can't think of anything worse than an acoustic Kasabian set.
