  1. As the campaign spokesperson quote says, this is just spin. There is no new deal, our musicians remain in the same default position as any other non-EU countries.
  2. Tune-Yards also have the Thurs on their website. But they also have a date in Edinburgh the preceding Sunday, which has been cancelled, and a date in Halifax on EOTR Sat, from which the venue has removed them from the bill. So seems pretty unlikely that they'll be there at all.
  3. Brooklyn-based Anteloper say it looks like they’re coming, but (1) asking for a driver to get them to EOTR: and (2) complaining that festivals aren’t paying for the necessary Covid tests (maybe not aimed at EOTR, or he doesn’t realise how easy it is to get LFTs here?)
  4. Surprised they and Whitney were on the revised lineup. What’ve you seen?
  5. Where did you see this? They’re still on the website (and for Wide Awake on the Friday).
  6. Officially only 14-20 cases from the festival, apparently: https://accessaa.co.uk/latitude-festival-results-in-around-20-people-testing-positive-for-covid-19/? Seems way too low. Although as they say 300-400 would be normal.
  7. The Saturday & Sunday (Field Day) were sold out, then they announced they’d increased capacity and were selling more. If the weather’s good I’d imagine some days selling out. I’d be very surprised by any free or super-cheap tickets. They only got approval to increase capacity (from 40,000 to 50,000) in Jan: https://www.eastlondonadvertiser.co.uk/news/all-points-east-capacity-increase-6893190
  8. (I've updated this so thought I'd pull it out of the main thread). I've made a big Spotify playlist for End of the Road this year, along the lines of one that I usually do for Glastonbury: All the live acts on the lineup, some of the DJs (mainly if they play their own stuff) 3-6 tracks per act depending on billing Key thing is the songs included are those each act has played most often at their recent live shows (pre- and post-lockdown, and in sessions etc). These are mainly identified using Setlist.fm, and sometimes also YouTube and Google (and occasionally just guesswork for the smallest/newest acts). In current circumstances I've also been slotting some new releases straight in where it seems apt, but we should be getting some setlist info again now gigs are returning. Updated weekly or so The aim is to give the best possible preview of each act's set at the festival. Any comments/suggestions for improvements to the format or tracklisting welcome. Enjoy! Recent updated selections for Little Simz, Squid, Black Country, New Road, Dry Cleaning, Altin Gun, PVA, Drug Store Romeos (one of my fave discoveries from doing this) and Fortitude Valley.
  9. Any particular recommendations for comedians, podcasts, dance, theatre etc?
  10. As has become customary, I present to you my Spotify playlist for next year's festival: Glastonbury 2020. As in previous years it’s compiled, and regularly updated, as follows: Confirmed acts first, followed by those rated ‘To Be Confirmed’ and ‘Strong Rumour’ on eFestivals' marvellous lineup and rumours page. For each act, the songs are those they’ve been playing most often live over the past year/tour, to give the best idea of what we'll hear on the Farm. I get this from setlist.fm, and additional Googling where necessary (for DJs, the 1001tracklists and mixesdb sites - although I won’t cover DJs comprehensively). Acts on the main stages get 5 songs each, fewer songs for the smaller stages. So we currently have Diana Ross, and then TBCs Supergrass, Wolf Alice, Fatboy Slim, Beans on Toast & Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip; and SRs Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift and Foals (there’s also Lionstar but there any songs by the ‘right’ Lionstar on Spotify). Enjoy! Any comments/ideas for improvement, please let me know here.
