Posted 08 March 2012 - 06:33 PMHi all, just wondered if any of had been to this fest before (and what you thoughtof it) or are going this year. Thought i might give it a try as its not too far south from Glasgow.
Posted 08 March 2012 - 08:49 PMYes I'm going again ths year as its local, its small ( Alchemy is bigger ) a good site you are camped in front of the main stage you can't take your own drink into the arena but as its so close you can listen to the main stage from your tent, beer is good in the beer/2nd stage tent. Northallerton 2 miles away good for supplies ( http://www.lewisandc.../store/home.asp as well as the big 4 ) very clean site as Viking Jeffs crew are the litter pickers

I though it was fantastic for the price. only little festival but great atmosphere & a good weekend alround !!
The Festival goers were more of an old school attitude very approachable.
Definately going this year, tickets bought, cant wait !!

After the Viking Volksfest move I'm not surprised.
With a bigger flatter site hopefully the sound crossover between the stages should be a thing of the past but I will miss the site at Brompton as a saturday morning walk to the market in Northallerton for some stuffed vine leaves was one advantage.
