  1. Reading The Graun’s review and I wasn’t aware she had compared the style of it (a long time ago, admittedly) to Massive Attack’s “Blue Lines” and Andrew Weatherall’s “Screamadelica”. Agree with Alexis P that it’s not like either of those. But it’s a solid 7.5/10 from me.
  2. Of all of the Kevins around on site, Rowland would be an infinitely more interesting choice as special guest.
  3. I’m probably alone in liking Houdini.
  4. Yeah, I get that. There does seem to be general apathy around the festival this year. Out of the three headliners, I do (hope) think she’s going to be the one that creates something special for Glastonbury.
  5. Think it’s going to be a great show
  6. Thanks for that. I’m aware of the discussion just above my post. On here though (and generally, before today) there doesn’t seem to have been much of a hullabaloo being made of it.
  7. It feels like her appearance is going under slightly under the radar a bit? Or is that just me? Hopefully not on shift on Friday evening. LCD into Dua is a weird, but potentially great party!
  8. 6/8 wanna sees on that Friday 😍
  9. I completely missed Daniel Avery's name on there! Amazing news. Lauren Lo Sung was great at Greenpeace last year.
  10. Excellent line up. King of The Beats should be good fun. TBH, the first thing I check when the Glade poster comes out is that Cassette Boy and Dj Rubbish are on there.
  11. Just watching some footage of the show…and it’s not great
  12. 1. Booked hotel in Bristol on the Sunday night, so can be in Oxfield as early as possible on the Monday. 2. Started to buy some of those tiny, but lethal, cocktail cans from M&S. Freeze well and don’t take up a lot of space.
  13. Yes - can remember trying to read the old-style broadsheet Observer in the wind in times gone past!
  14. Same here, always liked to collect them
  15. Don’t know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but someone on the Oxfam group chat is saying that The Guardian bags/ paper sales are no more…
  16. Off to an old person’s daytime breaks rave on Saturday at the Steel Yard in London. Anyone been to that venue before? Good/ bad?
  17. For his unremitting anti-monarchy stance, Heaton always gets my vote. Although Perfect 10 is an abomination.
  18. Asha Puthli is a new discovery for me - been listening at work and can't wait to see her now
  19. A final three of Eileen/ Geno/ Jackie Wilson should be good-time central. TBH in the few recent videos I've seen, they have stayed faithful to the originals.
  20. They play Geno, don’t they?
  21. I worked on the Thursday (2pm-10pm) last year and it was a bit of a relief not having to try and navigate the site/ get stuck in a bottleneck whilst the few acts playing were on. Had spent the past 5/6 festivals queuing to get into the Temple at opening. Always great fun in there but, even if I’m not working this year, Thursday is a chill day for me now. Far too many people trying to get into far few things.
  22. There’s still a few gaps on the Pyramid for Chaka to fill. Hopefully.
  23. Looking at some 2023 vids, they sound good! Searching For The Young Soul Rebels has one of the best starts to an album ever.
  24. Faithless headlining Glade on Thursday
