  1. Apologies just realised it was posted days ago!
  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned, Coop App has a prize draw for tickets running 22/4 to 5/5/24 This is a useful site for Glasto competitions: https://superlucky.me/how-to-win-glastonbury-tickets/
  3. Unlike entry tickets, CV east tickets do sometimes become available randomly so worth checking regularly. I'm not sure if it's possible to run a page monitor as you have to enter your reg to see which CV tickets are available. Good luck!
  4. Cropredy is a lovely little festival but it has a particular issue in being run as a big party by an ageing band for an ageing cohort of fans - it's the only festival we've been to where we feel relatively like spring chickens! We live a few miles away and go to the fringe rather than the main festival as there's only one stage and the line-up has been less than compelling for some time. Sadly unless it changes significantly this one will run its course in the next few years.
  5. Seems I was talking bollocks as I got an email this morning 🙄
  6. No stickers, swiping your Coop card when you buy gives you an entry, so purchase your packs as separate transactions. Also it's only Coop Group shops (with the blue cards) who are participating.
  7. Possible that only the winners and people who ticked the box to be kept informed of the progress of the fundraiser will be contacted.
  8. No secret resales since 2016, which does at least mean you don't spend the next month terrified of being away from internet access in case tickets come up. Oxfam volunteer places can come up randomly as people drop out. You need a page monitor to maximise chance of getting one. Other less attractive volunteering opportunities (either long hours or unpleasant work) can be harder to fill so vacancies are sometimes posted about here. I know nothing about corporate places but imagine you need contacts and/or lots of dosh.
  9. Probably that payments took longer as full amount was being paid and verification more likely? People were getting 'all tickets allocated' after 12 minutes
  10. It happens for the initial sale too. Usually a couple of posters running spreadsheets. Just as mad a scramble; there are more tickets but also more people after them. You have to commit to your group on the spreadsheet, as do other people trying for you. If someone buys a ticket just for you it will cause the group transaction to fail and scupper the chances of the rest of the group.
  11. I think it's departure point after reg details.. then flounder round until you find one that still has availability.
  12. This is the first time in 7 years that I'm in a position to help other people without having to scramble for our own tickets; also someone else got our tickets in November so I feel I need to pay it forward. After mulling it over I've concluded I can pay if I get through tomorrow, but can't cover the cost of 4 tickets for Sunday. If I'm lucky enough to get a booking page on Sunday I'll need someone from the group to give me card details and verification code if required. Once you're through to payment the tickets are held for 5 minutes, which should be enough time for details to be passed on and for me to input them. Good luck everybody, and remember to double and triple check those reg nos and postcodes!
  13. SFF have £5 tickets for Showhawk Duo this Friday 19th in Southampton, Saturday 20th in Brighton https://www.weticketit.com/showfilmfirst/booking/Event/detail/BOA46015/3671183
  14. Looks very pretty (much nicer than the contents anyway). Perhaps you could sell it as an art installation?
  15. Also his Tom Thorne detective novels feature characters with stand up comedians' surnames. Haven't read any for a while but I remember Brigstock, Holland, Boyle, Yashere, Porter and Byrne cropping up.

I managed to barge in so the bar was pretty low! All welcome 😊 Hi @lucyginger how are you? Today's sacrifice to the weather gods involved an extremely m*ddy walk.
  17. It's a new one. Running 10th to 23rd April. Again it's coop group only, not independent societies. You can check whether your branch is part of coop group here: https://www.coop.co.uk/store-finder
  18. Coop Group stores have the blue cards. If you check out your Coop branch online it will say whether your branch is part of Coop group or a local society which has its own cards
  19. From this comping website https://superlucky.me/how-to-win-glastonbury-tickets/ Participating coop stores have a message on self service tills about the Brooklyn competition
  20. Not necessarily every store. There are local societies as well the Coop Group. Despite the stores looking identical, ours (Midcounties) has separate membership cards and no reciprocal agreements with the Group regarding offers and competitions. They weren't included in the recent Worthy Cheddar comp.
  21. General tickets have been released, on sale now if anyone still needs
  22. Worthy Cheddar keeps well past its date and is lovely in pasta Alfredo (bacon prawns cream and cheese). There are recipes for cider and Cheddar fondue if you want to go proper 70s retro 😋
