Help needed for which DJ's...

Hi all,

I'm out of touch with the dance scene, I was into it around 10 years ago before I got married. The missus has let me and my mate get 3 day camping tickets, I can't frickin' wait!!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Prodigy, it's gonna be awesome.

Thing is I'm not sure about which DJ's should be on my list to see. I'm not into anything cheesy (with lyrics etc) but also not into anything too dark (although I do like a bit of trance).

I mainly like big build ups, Skrillex is someone I've been listening too recently.

Can anyone recommend who I should be looking out for so I can get some experience with their music before the August bank holiday weekend?

Thanks guys, roll on Creamfields!!!

If you're into electro then I'd recommend Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Zedd.. check out Feed Me, Borgore and Pegboard Nerds for the dubstep side of things, and then if you're feeling adventurous I'd recommend checking out Jack Beats, Alvin Risk, Monsta, and Baauer. Jaguar Skills is a good one to see if you're looking to hear the popular tunes from every genre, and for trance I'd say Mat Zo, Gareth Emery and Above & Beyond. Huuuuge choice of varied dance music so you're bound to find something you'll like!

I would recommend both above and beyond and mat zo seen them in June and they were both incredible especially if you like trance, I'd also recommend laidback luke, steve aoki and annie mac all have been incredible when I have seen them before, but there is plenty of choice so i'm sure you will find something you like.

Too many artists I want to see this year. No chance ill get to see all the ones I want!

With the lineup you are bound to find something you like at all times. The real issue is trying to see as much as possible!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
