Friday at V Festival!

Hello there! I am new to V Festival, this will be my first time ever at a festival. I am so excited for the weekend I am wondering what happens on the Friday? Is there any music played, like do they just throw a cheap DJ on in a small arena to play some Skrillex and chart hits? aha

Fridays are all about setting up and having plenty to drink. For years V used to have the strongbow stage which had DJs and the odd small up and coming bands playing the Friday night but this appears to not be on this year. There's a fair and markets stalls that's sometimes is worth having a look round and also the indie disco which happens from 8 till 11 ish in the arena stage. Once that is finished they show some classic films in there till around 2am.

Music in the arena goes on later than 11 does it not? Mind you by this time I'm usually very very intoxicated.

The Indie disco always has the potential to be the best part of the festival, it's what I tend to look forward to most, the place is absolutely buzzing.
