Hello!

I've never been to Glastonbury and I have a few questions!

What is Hitchin Hill like to camp in?

How early do you have to get to the lock ups to use one? Or is there loads?

How long does it take to walk from the Pyramid to the Other Stage?

Are you allowed chairs? (I saw IoW banned them)

How busy will it be at about 10am on Weds morning?

Thanks!

They are dotted around the site. Brilliant service, and give them a good tip at the end of the festival

depends on the time and the weather. Anything from 10 minutes in the dry and quiet to over an hour in the wet and crowds

Are you allowed chairs? (I saw IoW banned them)

Yep, but don't sit on them all day at the front of the stages. You'll be despised as much as those bearing flags.

How busy will it be at about 10am on Weds morning?

How long is a piece of string? Sorry!

Thanks!

The lock ups are a manned marquee so you just get your ticket and leave your stuff. Agree with Cejx for everything else

I've camped on Hitchin Hill twice & plan to again this year. I find it far enough away to get some shut eye, on a slight slope so any rain runs away & being a cul-de-sac, you dont get much thru traffic of people walking past tent. Thats the physical side of Hitchin.

If you mean is is good people wise, its really dependent on your immediate neighbours, not a camp area as a whole. 10m from any tent can have a completely different vibe/mix of people where ever you camp.

Enjoy your 1st Glasters.

What I can answer.

The only full one I have ever encountered is the one by gate A on a sunday. A lot of coach travellers cash in their packed rucksacks there during Sunday so they have less to lug Monday morning.

How long does it take to walk from the Pyramid to the Other Stage?

How long is a piece of string? It has taken me from 15 minutes to a whole hour.

Yes, but they can attract a passing bear style hard stare if you sit in front of a stage all day in one.

    • Out of interest (I could look but being lazy), do Mad Cool repeat that quickly? They only played last year
    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.
