I'm gutted Foo Fighters are not there, sucks really. Would like to see The streets & Mumford & sons as well...a few unknown bands, two door cinema club, Nero, mista jam, coldplay & kaiser chiefs too name a few!!

So so much to do and explore pretty excited, any idea what camp you'll be in? I'm up for Rastamouse though haha

Hi Missgeevious.

Late to the solo flyers party but very welcome. If you use the phrase 'solo flyer' in the search function in the top right of the page and get it to check Questions and Chat then you will be directed to the various threads that all have people in various situations of solo-ness.

There is a specific Solo Flyers thread knocking about somewhere that invites people to camp at the Efestivals camp iin Pennards. Everyone is welcome.

Ahh you can't say things like that...I heard it's meant to be a glorious Glastonbury.

Don't really have an idea where I'll camp but I'm thinking I'll be at :)

One more week of work to go!!

Hi. I'm also going on my own, thanks to someone pulling out. Not arriving till early Friday so I'll miss the efest stuff, unless any follow-ups get arranged. I've got really varied musical tastes but only a few definites on my calendar so far. I'm happy to meet up for beers/going to see bands/comparing notes on what we saw.

Of course if you camp elsewhere, either because of travelling companions or the 'sod it' principle (that is when you say "sod it, i've walked far enough and that spot will do me nicely")

Cider bus. near the band stand. Always a meet up there Wednesday and Thurday evenings, always a load of us there, and most of us drop buy at some point during the rest of the festival. It is rather like our 2nd home ;)

Yeah I'm on my own too.

Think I'll probably camp lower park, right of pennards (sorry, don't know what most of the camp fields are called!).

Will happily meet with any folk who want to meet up for a beer etc...

I'm 39, but certainly don't act it! Love Radiohead, Elbow, Doves etc.... Want to see Streets, Elbow, Mumfords, but also love a bit of folk so spend a lot of time over in Avalon.

I suppose the only downside to going on your own is that most folk will spend more time around tents with 'mates' than wandering / sitting around if the weather is shite.

So lots of positive thinking where the weather is concerned!!!

Rest easy x Peace x

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
