Hey, I went a few years ago and it was excellent but that was more down to the whole trip rather than just ILT. We went to Amsterdam for a few days beforehand and had a bit of a experience on the mushies that we still talk about to this day. We thought we were getting chased and got back to the digs and one my mates thought he was talking to his dead uncle and had cracked the meaning the life. Wasn't all good but was an experience all right. Bit fked up the next day and tried to buy some wee guys off a mexican (my sparkled mate assured us the best people to deal with were Mexicans) anyway, were the most expensive smints I have ever tasted ha

The actual place ILT is in is like a smaller SECC and all the rooms are in different halls, sounds bit shit but worked well and close enough to everything and dont need to worry about the weather. They also had a middle room where people could sit and watch other acts playing on a big screen which is good if you need to chill for a bit. Benicassim also do that and works well. There is a hotel right next to the place and if you can get in there for a night you've knocked it off. Don't remember it being overpriced or anything.

If you like that kind of music then it worth going to as nothing beats a festival abroad.

been 4 times, always excellent and crowd always totally up for it, be careful though...each room has 5000 limit so if you really want to see the headliners get in the room EARLY!!!! only thing that sucks is the exchange rate, so its going to be an expensive weekend trip for one night of partying but deffo recomend you go at least once..oh one more thing, its not really i love techno anymore, more i love electrohouse...which aint a bad thing but kind of takes away from the orginal idea of the event....imo stick to the RED room if your a true techno head, like myself ;-)

If you are after a proper techno event you should go to Timewarp in Mannaheim, Hawtin and Sven Vath both play 6 hour sets and the rest of the lineup isnt too shabby either.

I Love Techno has went right down hill in the last 3 years imo, more electro DJ's and bands playing now than techno.

This was the ad for this years and i'd only consider 2 of the acts named to be techno acts. Its a well organised event but if its techno you want there are much better events in Europe to look out for.

This vid is probably my favourite from ILT in its glory days.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
