Monday Queueing?

Hiya peoples

I'm trying to be greener this year and getting the coach.

It'll leave the festie at 7.30am on the Monday. Does anyone know what the queues are like on an early Monday morning?

Should I aim for more 5ish or 7ish?

Much appreciated :)

Hi Xini,

I did the coach last year, and after hearing stories about people queuing for hours for their coaches, I went up for about 6:30am for my 9am coach!! (mainly cos I needed to be back in London earlier than previously planned) - but they were doing a new system with different queues for different ticket times - so regardless how early you turned up, if you had a 7:30 ticket you were put in the 7:30 queue, if you had a 9am ticket you were put in the 9am queue. And the coaches seemed to be leaving pretty much on time.

Going on last year, a lot more organized (and civilized) than the traditional free for all scramble. If it a specific booked time of coach they will have a dedicated fenced off area for each coach leaving at that time for that destination. One of the stewards should point the right place and there is usually someone shouting as each one is set up.

Not sure if the posts above are talking about the See coaches or National Express. I have been with National Express for the past 3 years and will be going with them again this year. We've basically turned up about 30-40 mins before departure (our bus last year left at 8.45am) and not had to wait long before getting on the coach. From what I gather, See coaches were a lot more complicated.

    • Coachella beat everyone. No days off taken here.
    • on something else though, there are multiple reports of assaults and abuse at this year already. people I went to RIP with have posted in the group about multiple sexual assault cases.
    • That's why I said I was surprised by the choice of venue. Just don't nastogia bands that the festival don't book often in the tents. They will often play other festivalswith bands that people at Download won't likely care as much about. I saw them support Catfish and there is very little people I know who like them and Download lol. Scooter Sunday will be bonkers in the tent.
    • Very probable. I was a bit surprised by the crowd I saw in the video they drew, and I say that as a big feeder fan. I thought they’d draw a really good sized crowd but it looked rows deep. Chuffed for them though. Still think they’re a great band after all these years.  Rumours at they’re doing a Polythene tour next year too.
    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
