Hi,

I have a flight out of Gatwick on Tuesday the 28th at noon, so I have to figure out how to ensure I am back in London by 9am. I want to stay until the end of the music.

Any recommendations?

Can I rely on the 6am shuttle getting to Castle Cary in time to make the 6:39 train? Will I even get on that train? Mind you I'm willing to stay up all night to do so.

Does anyone know of a bus in the middle of the night? The earliest I can find leaves at around 6am and won't get to London in time.

Can anyone offer a lift Sunday night or very early Monday am? If you can offer a lift I will be grateful forever and happily pay you.

Please help! I'm completely stuck and horrified.

Thank you so so much if you can help

I take it you mean your flight is at noon on Monday 28th?

Never used the shuttle bus so can't help there I'm afraid. Somewhere on the official site says that the trains that run Sunday night or Monday morning do tend to be less busy so you may be okay getting on one.

Had a quick look at coaches & can't find any earlier than 6am so looks like they are no good.

If you can't change that flight & you think the early train may be a problem, you may unfortunately have to leave Sunday night just to be sure of making your flight :(

The music all ends sunday evening, everyone leaves monday, your flight is on Tuesday - I can't understand the problem. Even the journey from hell on Monday would still get you to Gatwick for a tuesday flight wouldn't it? Or have you got your days mixed up??

Try posting a question on the Lift Share thread??? There are bound to be people leaving after Sundays music ends, who need to be back in London for work on Monday morning, and might be able to help.

Good Luck.

Aah, monday flight, totally different thing then.

Best bet is to find someone who'll give you a lift on sunday, otherwise you will HAVE to leave before the bands finish to get a train.

Yep, try liftshare.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
