Hazel O'Connor ... maybe ?

OK, so I've gotta admit that this is yet another one of those totally unfounded I'd like to see [insert fav band here] stylee rumours ... but Hazel O'Connor is playing various gigs as usual plus a few festivals as well this year it would appear AND it's also the 30th anniversary of Breaking Glass of course plus there's a shiny new album apparently coming out shortly.

So, Hazel O'Connor and the most awesome Subterraneans for Glasto 2010 perhaps Gotta be a much greater than evens chance here I reckon, surely ? Might be 30 years on and all that but she can sure still bang it out brilliantly !

There's a fairly old(ish) promo vid (probably 2004/5 I think) on The Subs Myspace worth checking out if you're an old b*gger familiar with Hazel and Breaking Glass but want to see what a difference a few decades makes ! Bet she looks and performs waaaaaay better than you do 30 years on that's for sure

Will defo be having some of this bigtime at Cambridge Rock Festival in August I'm *VERY* happy to say as she's literally just been confirmed as playing but a preview at Glasto in June sure wouldn't go a miss She was bl**dy brilliant in 2004 with The Subs and again in 2008 playing a more acoustic set with with the De Barra boys. Whadaya reckon ? I'd almost be prepared to put money on it happening I think. Anyone heard any rumours that may actually have some substance rather than being just my wishful thinking ?

Also hoping for Breaking Glass coming to a cinema near me later in the year as well but not so sure that's ever likely to happen unfortunately I mean even the DVD has been out of production for a dog's age now. I'd *really* love to see it again at the cinema tho. so fingers crossed and all that and mucho hoping that someone somewhere considers that it's also jolly good thing to do for later in the year Hey, now that I come to think about it, the cinema field/tent this year would be way more than a bit good ... so Glasto cinema bookers please note and all that ! Getting the original as well as a current performance in the same weekend would be totally bl**dy excellent
